Today is always bitter sweet for me. Of course, each year I miss my dad so much. When we were younger, my dad would go around the dinner table and ask us each the peak and pit of our day. The peak of my day today is knowing that I have a loving, supportive father figure in Bruce, who treats me and my sisters as if we were his own. Bruce, I love you! The pit is that my dad isn’t here to share in our family experiences, but I know he is looking down on us all and I am so grateful for the lessons he taught me and the memories I’ll always have of him.

To all the fathers out there, Happy Father’s Day. This is your day… enjoy it!!!!

My sisters and I are so lucky to have had two very strong, loving and truly inspirational father figures in our lives. Many of you know my father passed away from cancer in 2003 and not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. But each day I am grateful for the lessons he taught me.

I remember when I got my very first job and he had me donate 10% of all of my earnings to the church. This is something I continue to do to this day, and is part of the reason I like to be involved with the Dream Foundation as much as possible.

I know there is so much more I could have learned from him, but Bruce has continued to provide me with so many life lessons and I admire him so much for taking on three daughters, and treating us as if we were his own. Thank you Bruce, for always being there for us. I know we are quite a handful at times!!

Dad, I’ll be thinking of you on Sunday. I know you are looking down on us all, and on little Mase. I see you every time I look into his eyes.
