The world stopped for a moment in time this morning when the legendary Dame Elizabeth Taylor passed away.

An era in time is over.

Elizabeth Taylor’s achievements in film were outstanding. How can we forget her as a teenager in National Velvet? Then A Place in the Sun with Montgomery Clift when her tulle “daisy” dress became the most copied dress of all time for debutantes. Her performance with Paul Newman in Cat On a Hot Tin Roof, Rock Hudson and James Dean in Giant, Butterfield 8 with Eddie Fisher (which earned her, her first Academy Award), Cleopatra (the start of her life-time, love affair with Richard Burton) and her next Academy Award winning performance for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf? solidified her international elite status above and beyond any other female actor of her day.

Her continual and undying philanthropic work for AIDS gave the world hope, promise and awareness.

This year, one of the greatest highlights of my entire life was when I was asked to remake Cleopatra for Harper’s Bazaar magazine in a fashion shoot. Not only did I get to wear Dame Elizabeth’s original clothing from the movie, but I got to interview her for this piece! I never felt so lucky and fortunate; it was truly the greatest honor and dream of mine to be the iconic “Elizabeth Taylor” for one day! As I got to know her, I saw her beauty both inside and out, loved her humor and business mind and her spirit for life was truly amazing and contagious.

Unfortunately, this was Ms. Taylor’s last interview ever and her last tweet was about our piece in Bazaar together. I am so very grateful to have had this amazing and phenomenal experience personally with my life-time idol, Dame Elizabeth Taylor.

Everyone remembers Elizabeth Taylor’s famed and celebrated marriages along with her beautiful, acquired and renowned jewelry collection over the years.

But for me, as I sadly write this piece, I know that interviewing and getting to know Elizabeth Taylor will always be the real “jewel” in my life!

While Khloe, Kourtney and I were together in New York for our book tour we met with Teen.com‘s correspondent, Avery Singer for a fun interview.

While I was in Toronto for my fragrance press tour I stopped by CHUM FM’s morning radio show to have a little chat! My two part interview is over on the CHUM FM website!

I sat down with Harout Kalandjian at Armenian Pulse for an exclusive interview. We chatted about my Armenian heritage, the things my father taught me about our culture and how this has shaped who I am as a fourth generation Armenian. Hello Kim, thanks for taking time out of
your busy schedule to answer a few questions. First of all, how are you
and what are you up to?

I am great! Enjoying spending time in
Miami with my sisters filming their show “Kourtney and Khloe
Take Miami“!

There is a ton of information about you,
but one small fact remains unanswered. We are hoping you can shed some
light on your Armenian background and how it has shaped your life.

I am 4th generation Armenian, born and
raised in Los Angeles. My great Grandparents from my fathers side came
to LA from Armenia right before the Genocide. My great Grandfather was
Armenian and my great Grandmother Turkish-Armenian. My mother is
English, so I am half Armenian, but, I was raised with a huge Armenian
influence, always hearing stories of Armenia, eating Armenian food and
celebrating Armenian holidays!

Armenian food is the best! What’s your
favorite dish?

Lamajune with string cheese!

That’s an interesting combination I’ll
have to try

Ever since you made a name for yourself, The Armenian youth have
literally been obsessed with you. In all my time on forums and blogs,
your name is constantly being mentioned. At Armenian Pulse, we have
received so many email requests to interview you, clearly you have an
Armenian fan base out there that is really proud of your
accomplishments.

This makes me so happy! My father would
be so proud that we talk about our Armenian heritage! My dad used to
always tell us to never remove the ian from our last name like some
Armenians that came to the U.S. He was so proud to be Armenian and his
biggest regret was not sending us to Armenian school! I am so proud to
be Armenian and so happy that I can identify with my Armenian fans!

I went to Kendall‘s Forever 21 shoot yesterday and she looked so beautiful! The whole family is very proud of her. She looks so stunning, the pics are going to turn out amazing! I can’t wait! I shared my meal plan and my at-home workout routine exclusively with OK! Magazine! My cover issue is out this week so make sure you pick up a copy! 

I love this cover spread I shot for the January issue of Ocean Drive Magazine. Billy Coleman was the photographer and I just love the whole theme of the spread… very classic, very simple, but also sexy at the same time! We created a number of different looks and I love them all! 

Khloe and I did a radio interview with Howard Stern! He was so crazy funny! I really had a good time! Here are some shots of us on our way to the radio station! I love this outfit Monica picked out… it’s a Philip Lim top, MiuMiu necklace, lna leggings and a cute Plastik blazer.

I sat down with Saturday Night Magazine to talk about my new fragrance, our new fashion line with Bebe, and all the crazy and exciting things that have happened to us so far this year! It’s definitely been quite a year!! I wonder what December has in store!

All of us Kardashian Dolls got really personal with Ryan recently and set the record straight about a whole list of things! I also divulge a little more than usual about my own relationship!
