As you guys may know, I am a big supporter of Dream Foundation, an amazing charity that grants wishes to terminally ill people. I was looking through their website the other day and reading all the stories about the dreams they have fulfilled over the years, and I wanted to post this story on my blog to share with you all. The work that the staff at Dream Foundation do is truly inspiring!!! Here is Garnetta’s story… Garnetta is an 83 year old woman losing her battle with cancer. Despite her diagnosis, Garnetta continues with her positive attitude and appreciation for life. She has always had a love for country music and a dream of seeing her idol, Loretta Lynn, in concert. In September of 2010, Garnetta’s dream came true.

Dream Foundation Stories: Garnetta’s Dream
May 3, 2011 / 24 CommentsThe River Way Ranch Camp Helps Support Pediatric Cancer Research
September 4, 2010 / 7 CommentsKylie‘s summer camp, and the camp I used to go to when I was little, the River Way Ranch Camp, are sponsoring staff as athletes to participate in the 24th Annual MESP Nautica Malibu Triathlon on Sunday, September 12 . The triathlon is a huge event that hundreds of people take part in to raise money for the L.A. Children’s Hospital for the Pediatric Cancer Research Program. This is such an important cause so I’d love if you could all spread the word about the event. Are any of you racing or do you have family members or friends who are taking part?
You might remember last year my friends Mario Lopez, the gorgeous Teri Hatcher and Jeremy Piven all took part and the event raised more than $1 million for the L.A. Children’s Hospital! This year they hope to do even better!!!
The event takes place at Zuma Beach in Malibu, and I want to wish the best of luck to everyone taking part, especially the wonderful staff at the River Way Ranch Camp! You can visit the event website for more info.
