Yay!! I’m so thrilled I made People magazine’s Top 10 Best Dressed! I was voted best bikini style. This actually means a lot because it means all the effort I made to look good in those bikinis paid off! This year I feel more confident and comfortable in my own skin than I ever have, which is why you’ve seen a lot more photos of me in swimwear this year, hahaha! August 8, 2008 / 231 CommentsHey Guys! So, I have held my end of the bargain with my workout plan! I have lost about five solid pounds and feel great! Reggie and I were heavily working out, while he was here before training camp started! I make sure that I work out at least 3 times a week! But now that I am into a heavy workout mode, I feel lazy when I take a day off, so some weeks, depending on my schedule, I work out 4 or 5 times a week! Now that Reggie is gone, my brother Rob and I have been hitting the gym together! I start off with running on the treadmill for about 30 minutes! I definately run 2 miles per workout, then I lift weights for about 30 minutes. I alternate between arms and legs switching off every other workout. I then do a bunch of stomach exercises and then stretch! When I get home I always do leg lifts, lunges and squats! It’s not all about working out though, I definately have changed my diet too! I eat less junk food, hardly any soda, and just try to eat more protein. I definately cant give up sweets all together, so I just toned them down! I still have some more work to do, but I wanted to stress how important sticking to your workout plan is! I used to workout for about a week, then I would stop—but this time I stuck with it and have been consistently working out for a little over two months! How have you guys been doing? The elusive perfect bikini
April 16, 2008 / 283 CommentsSummer is almost here and you know what that means — time to get a new swimsuit! A good-fitting swimsuit is hard find! For me I only like tie bottoms because its hard for me to find bottoms I like. I also think one piece swim suits are great to wear with a long skirt. It makes an easy beach outfit. It is important to get your correct size and not try to squeeze into something that fits too tight! I really like Sassi Bikinis which I’m wearing in these photos. (You can see more pics of me in my purple Sassi swimsuit here, too.) Along with the perfect swimsuit, you must have… 1. Sunscreen is way more important than you think! You need it even if you aren’t going to the beach! 2. Accessories like big sunglasses, which not only shade you from the sun, but are fabulous when you have no make up on and want to hide a little bit! ;) 3. A great pair of flip flops… my casual favorite are Havianas and for a little more dressy its Mystique sandals. 4. A beach cover up. My favorite is a sarong! It covers up the bottom half so you can walk around and not feel too naked, yet it doesn’t cover you up on top, so you still get a good tan.
