Self Discipline!

I workout at Gunnar Peterson's gym in Los Angeles and his partner Gregg Miele was wearing a bracelet that simply said="self discipline." I asked what it was all about and he told me it's very simple... you wear the bracelet to remind you to be disciplined. When you consider eating something you shouldn't, or do something you shouldn't, you snap it on your wrist and get back to being focused. I loved this idea and immediately wanted one. He has his own website called selfdiscipline.com. You guys should check it out and join in on the self discipline!

I feel that this clipping from Us Magazine is a bit misleading, so I wanted to comment on it.
I am a huge fan of Forever 21 and I'm very happy they have expanded their line to include a plus-size range, but I am not in that size category and this article makes it sound like I am! I am a curvy girl and I love my curves, but curvy and plus-sized are two very different things. I work really hard to maintain my curves while staying slim and healthy, so to be classed as a "fuller-figured woman" of extra large proportions is a little offensive.
For the record, I am a size 2, not 2XL.

Yes, I am complex!

Hey guys,
So everyone has been putting up these pics from Complex Magazine showing the comparison of the original un-photoshopped photo that mistakenly was put up on complex.com. This blog even went to the trouble to make an animation of the before and after.
Complex later replaced the pic with the photoshopped version, causing all of this drama. But you know what, who cares!
So what: I have a little cellulite. What curvy girl doesn't!?
How many people do you think are photoshopped? It happens all the time!
At the same time as this Complex shoot, I was gearing up for my fitness DVD and you should see my thighs now!!! Haha!
This all motivates me to stay in the gym because my goal this year has been to get in better shape and tone up! Hard work pays off!
I'm proud of my body and my curves and this picture coming out is probably helpful for everyone to see that just because I am on the cover of a magazine doesn't mean I'm perfect.

Kim Pix: In total fitness mode
My three-day workout series DVD shoot went amazingly well!!!
Here is my first behind-the-scenes sneak peek into the series titled, "Fit In Your Jeans By Friday"...
We shot it on Super Bowl Sunday at a Hollywood stage, and I made sure we took breaks when the game was on.
The first day was my ultra glam day! The shoot is very stylized and fashion forward. I didn't want to wear typical workout clothes. It was a grueling 12-hour workout day, but I made it through!
In the second DVD I wear American Apparel leggings with a Herve Leger top and a hot pink lacy bra underneath.
In the third DVD I wore a vintage jumpsuit! I loved this look! It was fierce! I also wore knee-high Puma sneakers that were insane!
Each day was an extremely different look and very stylish for a fitness shoot! Fashion-forward fitness!!!
I can't wait for you guys to see this!

Unfortunately, I am not in Tampa anymore for the game. I left Tampa because today I am shooting my own fitness DVD.
I am filming three DVD's over the next three days. And yes I feel awful that this whole crew has to work on Superbowl Sunday!
The game will be the same on Tivo! (LOL.)
I have been training and preparing for this for a while now so I'm glad the day is finally here!
Working out is a way of life and I encourage everyone to do it to feel good about themselves!

Things progressed and we stared to like each other. He told me he liked me, but the problem is he moved away. We still talk over MySpace. I try to get over him but it's so hard because the rest of the guys at my school are mostly probably jerks—but he wasn't. What should I do?

Kim Pix: Can you match my effort?

Hey Guys!
So, I have held my end of the bargain with my workout plan! I have lost about five solid pounds and feel great!
Reggie and I were heavily working out, while he was here before training camp started! I make sure that I work out at least 3 times a week! But now that I am into a heavy workout mode, I feel lazy when I take a day off, so some weeks, depending on my schedule, I work out 4 or 5 times a week! Now that Reggie is gone, my brother Rob and I have been hitting the gym together!
I start off with running on the treadmill for about 30 minutes! I definately run 2 miles per workout, then I lift weights for about 30 minutes. I alternate between arms and legs switching off every other workout. I then do a bunch of stomach exercises and then stretch! When I get home I always do leg lifts, lunges and squats!
It's not all about working out though, I definately have changed my diet too! I eat less junk food, hardly any soda, and just try to eat more protein. I definately cant give up sweets all together, so I just toned them down!
I still have some more work to do, but I wanted to stress how important sticking to your workout plan is! I used to workout for about a week, then I would stop—but this time I stuck with it and have been consistently working out for a little over two months!
How have you guys been doing? Have you been sticking to your workouts consistently?

There are some reports going around that Reggie wants me to lose weight... TOTALLY FALSE!
However, it is true that we have been working out together like crazy! And it is also true that I made a recent commitment to exercise more, which was a decision I reached all on my own.
The other day a bunch of us went to Manhattan Beach and ran up and down the sand dunes! Adrienne and I tagged along with Reggie and his football buddies and tried to keep up with their workout!
It was just normal exercise for Reggie, since he has to get ready for training camp. But for me it was the hardest workout of my life!
We had to sprint up the hill, then backwards and again sideways!
Do you guys think you could do that?
Since Reggie is gearing up for training camp and his job is to work out, we are trying to spend as much time together as possible! Yes, couples do work out together! It's a healthy lifestyle.
That day at the sand dunes was so intense!
For those of you who have decided to workout with me this summer, are you keeping up with it? If not, get back to it!!!

Summer is here and I feel like I am in good shape, but of course my sisters tell me straight up, we all need to workout and get in better shape!
Kourtney doesn't workout too much, but knows working out isn't just to lose weight, it's to maintain a healthy lifestyle. She has been tiny her whole life! In kindergarten she had to get special school uniforms made because she was still in baby sizes! Kourtney is barely five feet tall and weighs 95 pounds! Khloe is looking fabulous too and has cranked up her workouts and changed her diet! She is 5'10" and I don't know how much she weighs! I am about 5'2 1/2" and weigh 120.
After being in Europe and eating whatever we wanted, I decided to change my eating habits drastically the day I got home! I also have been spending about two hours in the gym three times a week and I am already seeing results!!!
My goal is continue my heavy workouts and just stick to it!!! It's so easy to start and then get lazy and lose focus! I am focused now and my goal is to lose about ten pounds and gain back five in muscle. I love my shape and size but want to be a little bit more lean and toned!
Now is the time! No more procrastinating!!!!
If anyone wants to start a focused diet and exercise plan, please join me!
You don't see results overnight so the key will be to motivate each other through the times when we slip off track! I will show you a few exercises and tips from my workout video every so often to give you a kick start!
Here is tip No. 1:
An exercise that I've been doing every day that's really been helping and no gym equipment is needed is... Get a chair or even go near your couch and make sure nothing is in front of it so you can stand right in front of it and act as if you are going to sit down but don't actually sit! Just lightly touch your booty on it and come back up. Do that seven times! Then do the same thing but this time only half way, come back up and do that seven times. Then do it one more time but when you go to sit down and come back up, only come up about an inch up off the chair! So each time you go lower and lower! Once you finished your lucky 21, take a break and try it again. I try to do that cycle four times.When I was growing up, Bruce and my mom were always working out and showed us that it's so important to be healthy! So as a family and even with my friends we would buy workout videos and all do them together, go to classes like spinning or Tae Bo. We always made working out a fun activity after school or on the weekends!

I try to eat as healthy as possible, but make sure I work out all the time. I have a trainer Kathy Kaehler who I work out with all the time. We actually just made a work out video which is simple and easy to follow along with -- especially if you are busy and don't have any exercise equipment. As for my hair, I like to switch up products all the time to keep it fresh and vibrant. I use anything from Herbal Essence to Finesse to salon products.

I have tried a number of different bras... the best thing to good support and lift (I've found... 34c) is Victoria Secret's convertible push up... and the angel invisible, underwire is okay too. But I find they squeeze me a little too much for my liking... can't stand it all day... what is the secret!!
I am obsessed with Victoria's Secret. I wear the water bra! It is the best ever! I’m also going to get fitted properly. There is a great woman in New York who does this but I know they also have fit specialists at Victoria’s Secret too — most women wear the wrong size bra!
