Girls' Adventure in New Orleans

Brittny, Lala and I wanted a little adventure and some girls' time, so we went to New Orleans for the weekend. As soon as we got there, we hit up all of our favorite spots! First stop was Cafe du Monde! Beignets are the best ever! Has anyone tried them? I know you have heard me mention them a lot! They are powdered sugar doughnuts and they really are messy but amazing. The game was a blast! A good win for The Saints!
Dress For Success in New Orleans
After my short stay in Atlanta I headed to New Orleans for an amazing charity event called Dress for Success. They do such amazing work! They give clothes to underprivileged women so that they can look presentable and be better prepared to get a job. They provide women all over the world with a network of support and help them find jobs. Since 1997 they have served over 450,000 women!

Kim Pix: My bowling obsession has limits
After the game on Sunday Chris Paul invited Reggie and me to the Hornets' charity bowling event.
I didn't bowl because they ran out of shoes and there was no way I was going to bowl in my boots, as clumsy as I am! Every girl that bowled in their heels fell. I wasn't even going to attempt it.
Reggie bowled against Chris, his brother and father and beat everyone! I think he even got the highest scored of the entire night... he bowled a 224! Our obsessive bowling has paid off!

As I spent the weekend in New Orleans and as I was getting all my tickets together for the game I realized I had some extra tickets. I called the family that my family met while filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians in New Orleans. They were on our finale episode for season 2.
I invited them to the game and they were beyond excited! Marissa, the daughter, had never been to a Saints game before and her brothers Aaron and Sydney got to meet some players after the game. They all were enjoying it so much!
They honestly are the nicest people and it was so good to see them again. Next time I go to New Orleans I'm going to check out their house. Since we filmed and saw they were living in a FEMA trailer, their house has been fixed following damage from Hurricane Katrina. It is just one week away from completion and then the furniture we got them will be delivered in the next few weeks!
They still live in the FEMA trailer, but hopefully by Christmas they will be moved into their home again. I couldn't imagine living with four people in a one-bedroom FEMA trailer! Their spirits are so positive and they taught me and my family so much!
Kim Pix: Rainy game in Tampa
This weekend Carla met me in Tampa to join me at the Tampa Bay vs. New Orleans game. The Saints played a great game! Even though they didn't win, the game was a lot of fun.
It was Reggie's first game coming back from his injury. He didn't play the whole game, so he could take it easy on his knee. But it was a great warm up game for him.
It was pouring rain so badly, look at the poor cheerleaders probably freezing and dancing in the rain. Can you believe they don't allow umbrellas in the entire stadium!? Everyone was sitting in their seats getting soaked.
I can't wait for next week in New Orleans against the Atlanta Falcons!
Kim in the News: My crazy schedule!
I had an absolute blast at LAX last night and I have the pictures to prove it—coming soon!
I have read in the comments that some of you thought I was supposed to be in London, but as a lot of you know, that trip was canceled so I could be with Reggie during his surgery. He is doing well and got permission from his Saints coaches to fly in to Vegas to celebrate with me at my birthday party at LAX!! I am so glad he is getting healthy and feeling well!
Speaking of my schedule, I want to share my itinerary with you so you can see how MENTAL the next weeks will be for me... I am absolutely booked solid! Did you realize how much travel I do!? Take a look and see for yourself...(Go past the jump!)
Monday Night Football!
After DWTS, I decided to head to New Orleans for a little r&r! It was so needed!
Last week, instead of going to the Monday night dance show, I went to Monday night football!
My cousin Cici and her husband Bill came into town from Houston to watch the Saints game. We ate dinner first and got to spend some quality time together!
Reggie had an amazing game, making three awesome punt returns, two of them for touchdowns!!! He tied the record for punt returns, making him the 12th player in NFL history to tie the record!
Tuesday after the game we slept in all day until my flight back to L.A.! It was the best feeling to not have to wake up for anything. I haven't done that in years!
During the trip, Reggie and I also went to see Musiq Soulchild perform. He was really cool!
We had an amazing weekend in New Orleans! I didn't think I would be able to make it to a game until after Dancing With The Stars, but we decided to bring my whole Keeping Up with the Kardashians crew with us!
Kourtney, Scott and I decided to spend the weekend there while Reggie's family was visiting—so we had a blast with his parents and took his little brother (yes, I said LITTLE—but he is 6'5") out with us!
We ate at the Bourban House the first night, which is right on Bourban Street—probably the craziest spot in New Orleans! People were out on the street at all hours of the night! We were filming too, and you know for some reason people tend to act a little crazy when they see cameras on! We were eating by a big glass window and everyone on the street stopped to see what was going on. All the players have to stay at a hotel the night before a game and have a strict curfew so we took Reggie's brother out to dinner with us. The food was amazing!
Due to the hurricane and the town being evacuated, the street was also sprinkled with U.S. soldiers who were out on every street corner making sure people were in for their curfew time!
After dinner, we went back to Reggie's and made some signs to bring to the game! Kourtney's sign is hilarious!
Sunday was game day!!!! They won!!! Reggie scored the winning touchdown and Bobby had an amazing sack right at the end!!! It was Kourtney and Scott's first game and they had so much fun.
I'm so proud of Reggie! The Saints did great! Papa, this is a start to the Saints best season yet!!!
Despite the recent hurricane the town is doing better and better each time I come! I really love New Orleans! You should all go visit!!
'Me' time with Reggie in New Orleans

I went to New Orleans for two days to squeeze in a little "me" time! I love it there and missed it!
New Orleans is the place I go when I want to just chill and not be bothered with work! It's such a relaxing place for me.
I started my day at Cafe Du Monde for breakfast with Khadijah! Biegnets are to die for!!!! They are so messy with all of that powdered sugar! But they were so worth it! Then when Reggie was done with practice, we headed to the Bourbon House Restaurant for a late lunch!
In all the time we have spent there, neither Reggie nor I have ever been to Bourbon Street, which is a really popular street out there!
Overall, the trip hit the spot: good food, got to unwind and saw my baby! It was the perfect two days for "me"!
What do you guys for a little "me" time?
My mom goes crazy over Brian McKnight
We recently had a press conference in New Orleans and so did he! So my mom made us run to the next booth to snap a shot with him.
She was so star struck. It was hilarious.
Which celebrity would you absolutely drool over if you suddenly ran into him or her (don't say me!)? Let me know in the comments area!
My sisters and I went to New Orleans recently for Reggie's all-star pool tournament during an episode airing tonight at 10pm!
We also toured devastated parts of the city and met families affected by Hurricane Katrina.
I'm so glad we ended the season on a reflective note.
What did you guys think of season 2?... especially the finale?
Reggie is especially passionate about it now that he lives there. He even created a charity called the "619 Foundation" which helps out families in need.
Are you going to watch the finale? What are your thoughts about how Katrina affected the people of New Orleans?
My first day filming in Shreveport!
Hey guys,
I completed my first day filming the movie! We aren't allowed to bring cameras on set, so I have sneaked some quick pictures of me as I was in my dressing room all made up!
I am so nervous, yet, excited all at the same time! I flew home from Australia on Thursday (see all the posts about my trip here!) then straight to Shreveport, Louisiana, on Friday!
Friday I had my hair and makeup tests, where they basically make sure they get the right look they want. After that I had a wardrobe fitting. Then I had a meeting with the producers to go over the script, just to make sure I get all of my questions answered.
I spent the weekend in New Orleans... so now that I am relaxed and prepared, I am so ready to start this film!
My call time was at 4:54am (yes, weird. I know!) I couldn't sleep all night, literally I fell asleep at 2:30am to wake up at 4:30...I was so anxious!
Have you ever not been able to sleep due to anxiety? A big game? First day of school? Well, in my case, first day filming! WISH ME LUCK!!!
xo,
Kim
Kim Pix: Rolling our new balls
Since Reggie is training in New Orleans, he comes home every other week. We make sure we fill up our time doing fun stuff!
We recently went bowling at Lucky Strike in Hollywood, as you can see in the photos on this blog post.
For Christmas I bought everyone bowling balls... Reggie's is a clear ball with a skull, Rob's is an eye ball, Adrienne got a cheetah ball (get it?), Kourtney got a black-and-white striped ball, Scott's is a dollar bill ball, Khloe received a leopard ball, and I gave myself a pink one, of course!
Check out these photos and tell me what you think in the comments area. Are you a good bowler? If you've been reading the blog, you know how much I like delicious treats. But did you know I could cook?
To prove my point, I came across some photos from Thanksgiving to share with you...
I spent Turkey Day in New Orleans with just Reggie for a one-on-one dinner.
I cooked the whole meal...doesn't it look yummy???
I made fried chicken, honey baked ham, green bean casserole, macaroni and cheese, and a sweet potato soufflé!
This was the first Thanksgiving I had spent without my family. But, hey, sometimes you sacrifice for the ones you love!
