I am still obsessed with thigh high boots! I used to think they were very Pretty Woman, but they are super stylish and I love them! My favorite
outfit is LNA leggings with these Report Signature boots!
I think my stylist Monica and my makeup artist Mario are spending too much time together because without even knowing that Monica had posted a 'Get the Look' for my Three O's vodka party in NYC, he posted a 'Get the Face' for the same look, haha!! So we now have a Komplete Kardashian... as Mario calls it!!
Head over to Mario's blog to see how you can recreate the makeup look we went for. This was actually the first time we've done a really dark smokey eye, because we thought it would go perfectly with my black and white outfit. Bold and beautiful!
This fall it's all about matte nail polish!! You can alternate matte and glossy by doing a matte nail and a glossy tip or vice versa. I have been wearing an army green nail polish by Orly called Enchanted Forest from their Once Upon a Time fairy tail inspired collectionand that's my new obsession! It's like a deep forest green and it's so gorgeous! I might try to matte-ify the tips with a darker color and see how it looks!
Also OPI has the best
matte top coat that makes black look like rubber! I love it when new nail trends come out. We were all into the skittles colored nails this summer and now we're making it dark and sexy for the fall.
My stylist Monica Rose has done another amazing 'Get the Look' post on her blog! I loved this outfit I wore to the Three Olive's bubble flavor vodka party! It was so vibrant with the zebra print dress and turquoise clutch.
Check out her post to see how you can recreate my look for less! These pieces are a total bargain and look so much like the items I wore. Monica does such a great job at finding these, so make sure you thank her!
I came across this great new website StyleSpot.com! They specialize in tracking down all the pieces that make up a celebrity's look and then recreate their own version of the look, and a budget version of the look using similar pieces. So far they have done six of mine!!
For some reason I just can't get into Ray-Ban sunglasses! They just don't
look good one me! My absolute favorite brand of sunglasses is Dita! They make the coolest pairs of glasses that are stylish and are such great quality and really sturdy, which is really important for me in a pair of glasses since I can't stand those flimsy ones that you know are going to get broken in five minutes! I travel a lot and the best accessory to
any outfit is a good pair of sunglasses so that you can wear no make up
and no one will ever see how you look because the glasses cover it all! Haha.
The Frisky have done a really cute blog about how to get my short cropped bob look that I wore to the MuchMusic Video Awards. You all know I would never just cut off all my hair just like that for one night's red carpet, so I had Ken Paves and Roberta Rogers work their magic on my hair to create a shorter look for the evening. It turned out great!
Nina Carbone at The Frisky has given a 4-step guide on how to create a similar look without chopping off your hair.
Step #1 Start with sorta dirty hair (unwashed hair is the key to
pretty much every up-’do because the second-day oil equal major texture
and lots for hair pins to cling on to). If you’ve got stick straight
hair, drag out the curling iron (or curl your hair in rollers if you
got ‘em) and wind random sections around the barrel of a one inch or
larger iron. The more haphazard the better. Keep clicking for more
faux-bobs and additional instructions.
For steps 2, 3 and 4 click on the pic of me at the awards above!!
I am so loving Turchin jewelry right now. You will definitely see me in these bracelets
and necklaces all summer! The designs are very boho chic and I love the message
behind their jewelry. Each piece is made by hand by their designers who aim to promote global awareness, peace, love, and compassion through the jewelry designs and their lifestyles!
Every so often the designers invite local Buddhist Monks into their
store to perform blessing ceremonies encouraging peace, compassion,
love, and light! So unique! I love it!
I am really loving Siwy jeans at the moment! They fit so well and they have stretch, so they have the perfect skinny legs but enough room for my
booty! They have some really cute styles right now too, so check out the website.
What are your favorite jeans brands at the moment and how do you feel about the shredded and distressed jeans look coming back in style? I really liking it right now.
My wonderful stylist, Monica Rose did a great post on her blog yesterday showing you how you can get my STK night out with the girls look for less! She did such an amazing job finding really similar pieces inspired by my outfit. Head on over to her blog to see how to recreate the look.
I shot for the cover for Ocean Drive Magazine while I was in Miami!! I can't give away too
much, but the shoot was absolutely beautiful! The clothes were stunning! I felt so
overwhelmed by all the amazing clothes I was surrounded by, from Lanvin and Balmain to Giuseppe Zanotti, all of my favorite designers! The hair and make up was just
divine!
Mario gave me my very own make up lesson! It's so much harder to do my own makeup, but I did it! I learned every trick by doing a step by step make
up lesson with Mario. We are definitely going to film one of these because I need another
make up lesson and I think you guys will really enjoy it! Every girl can learn so much from Mario about applying makeup.
I just adore this Pencey Razorback slip dress at Dash. It's made with silk and chiffon for the perfect
elegant spring dress. The baby yellow color and pastel print throughout
makes it whimsical and perfect for any occasion this season.
I went to the Obsessed movie premiere! The movie was
great and I was so excited to see Beyonce. She was doing interviews
right next to me on the red carpet and I couldn't stop staring, she is
beautiful, like flawless!
Check out my little Sex and the City inspired outfit! A 12th Street by Cynthia Vincent skirt, with a Ina Soltani leather jacket,
with a BCBG belt on top. The shoes are Fendi.
Fashion guru Amanda Luttrell Garrigus came to my house! I loved showing
her around my place! I know she could appreciate things like my vintage Vogue collection. We went through my closet and all of my shoes! She
was really impressed, and that made me happy because i know she has seen it all in her career, so for her to be impressed by my closet was amazing!
Anti-oxidants are so important for good skin, and that's why I'm a fan of Origins' A Perfect World. This moisturizer contains white tea, which is among the most powerful antioxidants and anti-stress antidotes (and who can't use a little anti-stress treatment every now and then!?)
What's cool is that through April, every time you purchase A Perfect World Antioxidant moisturizer with White Tea, Origins will plant a tree on your behalf, through Global Releaf. So you're helping out your skin and the world! Each tree planted helps to reduce air pollution, clean our water and lower energy costs.
of the most exciting parts for me during my Fit in Your Jeans by Friday workout shoot was choosing the outfits! I wanted to prove that you can get a good workout and still look good... workout clothes should be practical, but they don't have to be boring!
Fashion is my life, so I wanted to blend fitness with fashion. Watch my video to see just how I did that!
I recently teamed up with The Children's Place to design a bag for a celebrity-designed messenger bag auction they are hosting on Ebay.
All proceeds from the winning bid will benefit Books for Kids, a foundation that creates libraries, donates books, and works closely with literacy programs
to give young
children in low-income families the chance to develop their reading skills so that they can have successful futures.
The auction just started at 4pm today and ends April 24, so you can bid right now, and shipping is free!
I love DuWop's Revolution line. DuWop have blended moisturizers, SPF 15 (very important to protect skin from the Sun's harmful rays) and sheer body makeup to give an overall even-toned skin coverage. It's the perfect makeup to put on your legs and arms to give a sexy, glowing look.
DuWop also do a Revolution for the face that includes light reflecting pigments that give you a natural look radiant complexion, plus it comes in eights shades so you can find your perfect match.
I just love this Phillip Lim one-shoulder blue dress! I guess the asymmetrical one-shoulder look really is back for Spring 2009! Michelle Obama wore a one-shoulder dress at the Inauguration, then Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet wore gorgeous one-shoulder
dresses to the Golden Globes awards. The look was all over the red
carpet at the Oscars, too! I hope the trend stays for a while. I think
it's a really flattering look for curvy girls like me because it draws
the attention away from your lower body and up to your neck and
shoulders area. It's also a good solution for those who can't decide
between tube dresses and dresses with straps! haha
I've been loving the one shoulder look for a while. Check out the gallery of me and other celebs wearing one shoulder dresses.
For some reason I just can't get into Ray-Ban sunglasses! They just don't look...
