Channel Kim: Cooking for the holidays
Want to know how to make some killer mac 'n cheese? Watch my recent appearance on The Bonnie Hunt Show! (You can also check out a photo from my visit too.)

This old school pic is of me and my grandmother. We always called her "Nana." She is my Dad's mother and her real name is Helen Kardashian.
She passed away earlier this year...
Once my father passed away, she was never the same. She had three children, my aunt Barbara, my uncle Tommy then the baby of the bunch... my dad!
My grandmother is full Armenian. It's actually very typical to have blond hair and light eyes being full Armenian. This is where Khloe gets her coloring from, in case you have been wondering.
Nana was seriously so much fun! She lived right near my parents growing up and also had a house in Palm Springs that we always spent so much time at.
She was your typical Armenian grandmother: always cooking the best Armenian meals, our favorite which was this Armenian breakfast called "beeshe"! I'm not sure if that's even how you spell it but it's basically a fried pancake with lots of sugar on top!
She passed along the recipe but Kourtney is the only one in our entire Kardashian family who has mastered it. So every year in December my dad's side of the family gets together and Kourtney makes it for us all!
I miss my Nana so much!

My Thanksgiving was very calm and just perfect! Reggie and I went to eat at Bobby and Khadijah's. My family was home in LA spending it with my little sisters, Kourt and Khloe, while Rob was in NYC with Adrienne and her family, and Reggie's family came to New Orleans a few days before Thanksgiving because they had to be home with Reggie's little brother on actual Thanksgiving, so it was just the two of us! Even though Reggie didn't play that weekend, he wasn't allowed to leave New Orleans, due to team rules.
Khadijah's mom cooked and so did I! We ate so much we were so full and just laid on the couch stuffed!
We had a turkey, fried turkey, honey baked ham, mac 'n cheese, sweet potato souffle, cabbage, corn bread, cranberry sauce and so much more!
How was your Thanksgiving?
Ingredients
* 2 pounds elbow macaroni
* 12 eggs
* 1 cup cubed Velveeta cheese
* 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, melted
* 6 cups half-and-half, divided
* 4 cups grated sharp yellow Cheddar, divided
* 2 cups grated extra-sharp white Cheddar
* 1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella
* 11/2 cup grated Asiago
* 1 cup grated Gruyere
* 1 cup grated Monterey Jack
* 1 cup grated Muenster
* 1 cup grated Parmasian
* 1/2 cup Goat Chesse
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 1 tablespoon black pepper
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Bring a large saucepan of salted
water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook until slightly al dente,
about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside to keep warm.
Whisk the eggs in a large bowl until frothy.
Add the Velveeta, butter and 2 cups of the half-and-half to the large
bowl of eggs. Add the warm macaroni tossing until the cheese has
melted and the mixture is smooth. Add the remaining half-and-half, 3
cups of the sharp yellow Cheddar, the remaining grated cheeses, and
salt and pepper, tossing until completely combined in the large bowl.
Pour the mixture into 9 by 13-inch casserole or baking dishes
(approximately 3 (3-quart) baking dishes) and bake for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of sharp yellow cheese and bake
until golden brown on top, about 30 minutes more.
Serve hot.

Old School Pic: My birthday dinner
This picture was taken at the Armenian restaurant, Carousel in Hollywood that we would always go to growing up! This particular photo was taken on my birthday!I think I was turning 19, I can't exactly remember! No matter how big of a birthday party we would have, the family would always get together for a special B-day dinner at Carousel! Armenian food is my absolute favorite food on the planet!
Have you ever eaten Armenian food? It's so good, if you haven't you need to try it!
Kim,
So far my diet has been going great but, as you might [relate], there were a few days I fell off. (Imagine if I didn't. LOL!) Well, what can you suggest to prevent this? Please help!
Love ya Doll.
Sincerely,
Falling Off The Wagon

'Me' time with Reggie in New Orleans

I went to New Orleans for two days to squeeze in a little "me" time! I love it there and missed it!
New Orleans is the place I go when I want to just chill and not be bothered with work! It's such a relaxing place for me.
I started my day at Cafe Du Monde for breakfast with Khadijah! Biegnets are to die for!!!! They are so messy with all of that powdered sugar! But they were so worth it! Then when Reggie was done with practice, we headed to the Bourbon House Restaurant for a late lunch!
In all the time we have spent there, neither Reggie nor I have ever been to Bourbon Street, which is a really popular street out there!
Overall, the trip hit the spot: good food, got to unwind and saw my baby! It was the perfect two days for "me"!
What do you guys for a little "me" time?
