As you all know, I love switching up my nail color to fit my mood! I think the color of your nails can really express how you're feeling and can completely finish off a look. For example, in my recent Shoe Dazzle shoot I wore black nail polish to match my dress and to set off the colors in the shoes! At the Sephora Infatuation lipgloss launch I wore a deep silver to set off my jacket! And at the Famous Cupcakes event I wore a bright red to match Kiyan's shirt! Hahaha, just kidding... that was pure luck!

Right now I'm really into red nails! I think red is such a classic color... so feminine and sexy. It's so timeless you can literally match it with any outfit. Rihanna is the ultimate red nail-ed diva! I love how she experiments with her nails, or matches the red nails with her lip color to make a statement. She's definitely one of the most daring and risque ladies in pop! I can't wait for her new album to come out next month... I know I can rely on her for some upbeat workout tracks!!!

Anastasia really has made such a difference to my eyebrows. Since I went blonde and lightened by brows I've had to change up the products I use because they were all too dark for my new look. I went to Anastasia for a brow shaping and did a little shopping when I discovered the Lash Lifting Mascara and this amazing Brow Pen!

It blends in really nicely on the skin and hair and looks really natural, and it's water-based so it's super easy to take off at the end of the day, which is important for me because I'm usually so tired at night I just wanna get my makeup off quickly and get ro bed, haha!! It comes in a Universal Light shade for blonde to light brown hair and a Universal Deep shade for dark brown to black hair... I bought both, just in case I decide to go back to black, haha!

We recently did a satellite media tour to talk about Caress and their amazing new skin wear collections!

Mario: Hey Jackie, I LOVE that sponge too.  It’s called The Beauty Blender.   You can get it at Beautyblender.net .  Don’t forget to get the cleanser for the sponge too.  It works amazing so you can wash it over and over again.



Hawaii: Hi Mario! Great job. Here is my question: Should primer be used after a moisturizer or does it matter?

Mario: Aloha Hawaii, yes. You can moisturize first, let it set in for a few minutes, then prime.



Rx: Hi Mario! The look you done on Kim was gorgeous! -Id like to know how you got into the makeup industry and was it hard for you to get there? Thank you!

Mario: Thank you, Rx. I got into the makeup industry when I was 17 years old.  I started in retail then eventually began to work with photographers and I assisted famous makeup artists for years.  I can’t say that it’s easy because it’s not.  A lot of hard work, sweat and tears go into it (especially In NYC), but if you love it and believe in yourself, you succeed.  


Christine80: Thanks for the tutorials. I just love them. My question is: Does Mario work with non-celebrities? I am getting married and if he could make me half as pretty as you, Kim...well, let's just say I would be ever so grateful.

I just got Givenchy's new Phenomen'Eyes mascara and am about to try it. I hear it's amazing!!!

The mascara wand is completely different than anything I've ever seen -- it's a round sphere.

Apparently, it's designed to grip lashes at their roots to perfectly curl and separate them.

You can only get this at Sephora, by the way.

Troy dolled me up the other night to film this new styling show for MTV.

He is so inspirational to me, I am going to have him guest blog every now and then so he can give his exclusive makeup advice.

I love this bronzer and use it all over my face and my cheekbones to give me definition but also color.

It's by Smash Box and it's called Bronze Lights. I get it in the Suntan Matte shade.

I think it's important to have a great matte bronzer that doesn't have shimmer in it because sometimes shimmer can make you look oily.

I use a smaller brush to contour my cheekbones and then use a bigger powder brush to give me a little color on my forehead and nose.

I am a huge fan of Smash Box and this bronzer. By the way, Smashbox cosmetics is owned by Davis Factor who is also the photographer who shot my Bongo jeans campaign!
