Mario and I were cleaning out my make up! I had the most random stuff... from red blush to white concealer and brown lipstick! It was definitely time for a good clean sweep, and Mario and I stayed up all night cleaning out all my makeup! I had so much fun and now I know exactly what I have and can experiment with colors and use the proper glosses, lipsticks, and shadows! Sometimes you just need to do a good clear out to see exactly what you have!

Guys, I am so excited to tell you about this new competition I'm doing with Sony Ericsson Equinox! I love, love LOVE my glam squad! Whether I have a special dinner, a photoshoot or a red carpet event, my glam squad always knows exactly which look to create for me and they work together to make it just perfect! So... I absolutely loved the makeup look Mario gave me for my LA birthday dinner! To die for! We've been experimenting with eyeliner recently and this was one of the looks Mario came up with... it worked perfectly with the nude lips! To find out what products Mario used to create the nude lips look, head over to his blog! I'll make sure he does a full 'Get the Face' for my birthday look, because it's one of my favorite recent looks! 

I did another fabulous Shoe Dazzle photo shoot! Troy shot it and did the make up and Frankie did the hair! I love all of the new shoes we have coming out in the next few months! The pink shoe above is the Stephanie shoe... this month's Breast Cancer Awareness shoe. I cant wait for you guys to receive all of your new shoes for fall and for the holidays! Troy and I will be there giving makeovers for the Kiss Away Poverty campaign, a campaign created by Fusion Beauty and Seven Bar Foundation, which aims to help low-income women affected by the recession to start their own business!

Troy (with a little help from me, haha) made over Nancy Wiley, a wonderful woman who designs the most gorgeous jewelry and wants to launch her own business. Remember the dark look Troy Jensen created for my YRB shoot? It was a look I had never tried before... short hair, dark lips, pale skin. It sounds kind of gothic, but it was more classic, like the femme fatales in film noir. Troy just blogged about the products he used to achieve this look and the women that inspired it. Troy drew inspiration from the Stars of the Silent Era including Gloria Swanson, Theda Bara, Clara Bow and Louise Brooks. Amazing! I love how he can take classic looks and reinvent them to make them modern and unique. He truly is a genius. Can you see the similarities between my look and their looks? It's interesting to compare.

My wonderful makeup artist Mario chatted with the ladies at Spoiled Pretty and gave a really detailed breakdown of the products he used to create my Emmy's look and the steps he used to achieve it.

I really loved this look! I don't wear blue eyeshadow very often but it added something unique to the look and made it bright and fresh. A smokey look would have been too heavy for the dress, so this was so perfect! Mario always knows the exact makeup look to do to compliment an outfit.

I am loving gold eye shadow right now! I think it can be perfect for the day time and then you can add some black eye liner and a darker shadow in the crease of the eye for a night time look. MAC has a great variety of golds! Goldmine eyeshadow is a true-gold color. It’s shimmery and frosty and everything I think gold should be. I also love MAC pigments! They add shimmer and texture and I typically use a little in the corner of my eye. My favorite is called Blonde's Gold! It's heavenly! The perfect light color yellow gold! Stephen Moleski did my makeup here! He always finds the best color shadows!!

What color eye shadows are you guys into at the moment?

I was always afraid of shimmer, thinking it would make me look oily, but I tried it out and I think it looks dewy and glowy. What do you guys think? Although I wouldn't put too much on, a little goldish shimmer can be very pretty!

Anastasia really has made such a difference to my eyebrows. Since I went blonde and lightened by brows I've had to change up the products I use because they were all too dark for my new look. I went to Anastasia for a brow shaping and did a little shopping when I discovered the Lash Lifting Mascara and this amazing Brow Pen!

It blends in really nicely on the skin and hair and looks really natural, and it's water-based so it's super easy to take off at the end of the day, which is important for me because I'm usually so tired at night I just wanna get my makeup off quickly and get ro bed, haha!! It comes in a Universal Light shade for blonde to light brown hair and a Universal Deep shade for dark brown to black hair... I bought both, just in case I decide to go back to black, haha!

This is that OPI nail polish I was telling you about! I love it! It looks like rubber! I had to add a twist so I did a clear coat on the tips to look like French tip nails, but in black! My mom didn't know about matte polish and when I showed her she said "never use this polish... it's very dull and doesn't look shiny at all!" I told her that was the whole point! She has no idea! Haha.

Are these not the coolest products you have ever seen!!?!?!!? Check out this Great Lash Maybeline mascara that's all blinged out and the Garnier under eye product!!! I want to use them all day! I almost died when I got it sent to me as a gift! This are the most fab beauty products I own, without a doubt!

I went to go support Christian Siriano at The Grove for his new make up launch at Victoria Secret! I couldn't be more proud of him! I had no idea he used to be a make up artist! His make up is amazing! You guys have to check it out!

Both! haha. I am so loving this hot pink lips look Troy Jensen created for me recently!  It's so fun, a little bit 80s and I love the combination of the dark eyes and bright lips! I wore this look to the Orphan premiere recently. It's so fun and girly!

This fall it's all about matte nail polish!! You can alternate matte and glossy by doing a matte nail and a glossy tip or vice versa. I have been wearing an army green nail polish by Orly called Enchanted Forest from their Once Upon a Time fairy tail inspired collection and that's my new obsession! It's like a deep forest green and it's so gorgeous! I might try to matte-ify the tips with a darker color and see how it looks!

Also OPI has the best matte top coat that makes black look like rubber! I love it when new nail trends come out. We were all into the skittles colored nails this summer and now we're making it dark and sexy for the fall.
