I am loving gold eye shadow right now! I think it can be perfect for the day time and then you can add some black eye liner and a darker shadow in the crease of the eye for a night time look. MAC has a great variety of golds! Goldmine eyeshadow is a true-gold color. It’s shimmery and frosty and everything I think gold should be. I also love MAC pigments! They add shimmer and texture and I typically use a little in the corner of my eye. My favorite is called Blonde's Gold! It's heavenly! The perfect light color yellow gold! Stephen Moleski did my makeup here! He always finds the best color shadows!!

What color eye shadows are you guys into at the moment?

MAC's limited edition Ruffian Red lipstick is really great.

It's similar to their Russian Red.

My marvelous makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic answered a TON of your questions after I posted his makeup videos. Here is the first batch, which focuses on eye makeup...

Jytza: I was wondering what you think of colored eyeliner and colored mascara. I'm tired of the basic black and would like a pop of color without looking tacky...what would you recommend for someone who has brown eyes like me or Kim?

Mario: I think auburn/burgundy mascara would look great with brown eyes.  Try green eyeliner - that usually looks good with brown eyes..I like the MAC’s technakohl liner in Antiquity.   Kevyn Aucoin makes a great burgundy shade of mascara and Lorac makes a nice Auburn one too.


Mae: Hey Mario! Thanks for answering our make up questions. I use a regular pencil eye liner. How do you keep it from smudging throughout the day? And second, which eye shadow colors look good on medium tan, skin tones?

Mario: Hey Mae, before you apply your pencil on the upper lid, use an eye shadow primer or some foundation/concealer on the lid and dust some loose powder over it to set it.  Follow with the liner.  You could also apply the liner, then set it with a translucent, no color powder.  If the liner on the inner rim of your eye isn’t staying, switch to a waterproof  one like the powerpoint pencil from MAC.  It lasts all day.


OfficialGirl09: Hi Mario! I only use liquid eyeliner and I wanted to know what is the best one? I've always used "Almay" and I love it because it last long, but it smears a little on the bottom lid. Help!

Mario: Hey OfficialGirl09, I like using liquid eyeliners that are matte and that can blend easily once they dry.  The one I’m currently using is by MAC.  To prevent smearing on the bottom, again - make sure the skin has makeup and powder on before.  Powder will really help to prevent smudges.

I am so excited about Hello Kitty's new beauty products!

The company teamed up with M·A·C to put out a makeup line and the colors are perfect for the upcoming spring trend of soft pinks and pastel colors! The packaging is SO adorable and graphical, too.

The line will be available on February 10, just in time for Valentine's Day! Check out M·A·C for more info!

I love MAC 'pink swoon' blush. I think it is the perfect pink blush to add some color to the apple of your cheeks!

A pink blush adds life and somehow gives this girly fresh look. You just look alive when you add blush.

I always keep a blush in my purse at all times. 'pink swoon' is the perfect pink.

A fan named “Hawaii” recently wrote in asking what shade of lipstick I wore when I was in Miami at the Fontainbleau opening.

Well, I love red lips, and I should wear them more often! It's so bold! I love how Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani wear red lips all the time. This color is by MAC and it's called Russian Red, with Russian Red lip gloss on top.

 

Christian Audigier and I surprised all the students at Locke High School in Compton with some amazing holiday gifts. 

Christian and I both have had a connection with Locke High in the past: The first fashion show I ever walked in was Christian Audigier's first fashion show he ever led! There was a choir singing during the show, which was from LHS!

We surprised them at their assembly and gave the students with 4.0 grade point averages Mac laptop computers! All of the other kids received a big bag of all Ed Hardy t-shirts, socks, hats, sweatshirts, everything!

These kids were more than surprised and were all screaming... This is what Christmas is all about!

You probably remember my recent confession about my love of tweed! Well, I have written my column on Celebuzz all about the trend, which also includes plaid, leather belts, boots, vests and smart-looking scarves.

Last week I spent the day running from meeting to meeting in New York! It was a very fun NYC day!

Criss-crossing the neighborhoods, I totally felt like a Sex and the City girl! It was a fun packed day!

• Here, I am wearing J Brand jeans, Report Signature boots and a Tibi poncho!
• My hair and makeup was super light and fresh. I wore Armani foundation with cream MAC blush called "fabuloush," and no eye shadow at all, just MAC Zoom mascara! A very sheer Stila lip gloss finished the face.

It seems every time I go to NYC I get staticky hair!!! I hate that so much! Does anybody know what can get rid of it?

I noticed you guys are loving Kourtney's style! So do I! She really has great taste! Here is Kourtney and me at Caroline D'Amore's fashion show. 

In this picture Kourtney is wearing a cream satin H&M top with a Milly high-waisted black skirt and a cream belt from Kourtney's favorite store Zara.

I am wearing a pink BCBG Runway dress and we both are wearing YSL heels.

This lipstick I am wearing is my new favorite color. It is Soar lip liner by MAC with a Stila lip polish called Glisten. I love this lip color because it gives a little bit deeper color than just my regular nude lip!

You guys may recognize some of these shots, but I have also added my personal photos of when I turned the cameras onto the paparazzi!...

I recently spent the day with my BFF Brittny. We met up for lunch and ran some errands and while we were out, I ran into the MAC makeup store by myself.

As I was paying for my new lipsticks I realized I was no longer alone! There was so much paparazzi, I had to stop and take a picture of them!

***UPDATE: I see you guys are asking about what lipstick I bought at MAC. Well I used to wear the color Angel, with Stripdown lip liner, but now I am loving Soar lip liner with a clear gloss. Soar is like a light cranberry color, that looks almost like a darker version of angel. I am still trying to find the perfect lipstick. I also like the color Myth for a super nude lip, but sometimes its too light! I really went to Mac to get a new concealer. It seems I can never find the right one, but bought the Studio Tech creamy foundation to try as a concealer bc its way to heavy for a concealer for me! If you guys have any lip color suggestions, let me know in the comments section.

I decided to try out my lighter eye make up look. And don't laugh, I want your opinion! I usually ask my sisters these sorts of questions, but I want to be able to bounce things off you, too! ...

I am sooo loving Lorac makeup right now!

I recently tried their new glam rocks pigment shadow in their color called "metallic pearl." I used the Mac Black Zoom mascara which I love! And then I added this Lorac perfectly lit powder called "spotlight!" It gives you a shimmer all over! I love it! 

Do you guys like the lighter eye makeup look or the smokey eye look better on me? (I can handle criticism, but be nice!)

Kim, do you where eye lash extensions? I am so amazed by how long and perfect your eye lashes always appear... not to mention that both your sisters and mom also have the same perfect look.

No, I do not wear eyelash extensions, Ruby. But just started using an eyelash grower called Revitalash. It's amazing! It makes your eyelashes grow soooo much!

Kim [another Kim, not me!] says:
Kim....You, your mom and your sisters eyelashes are ALWAYS beautiful. I wanted to know what brand you use or where do you guys get them done?

We wear a company called Red Cherry, but Khloe never wears them. Kourtney, my mom and I only wear them out at night to events or parties. We have very long eye lashes to start with and the trick is to use two different kinds of mascara and really take your time putting it on!

I use a MAC brown eyeshadow to fill them in a little bit. It's called "walnut." It works really well for me. If I need to fill in some more, I use the MAC eyebrow pencil called "lingering."

I love Photo Booth, which is a program on Mac computers that distorts your face in the most hilarious ways. You can change the color or pretty much just mess around!
