Well, please understand what the sensible and civilized people have commented here, whether Indians or not.
It’s about a celeb saying something like this and calling some food ‘sooooo disgusting’. on Televison. That’s outrageous. U like something or not keep those feelings for Urself.
As for liking Indian food, We have hundreds of cusines in Indian food. Nobody can like all of them so that’s not a bench mark.

Alicia! U don’t seem 2 believe in whatever defence U r trying 2 put in favour of Dim.
Nobody is expected 2 make everybody happy, but that doesn’t mean U publicly abuse a civilization and their food.
Humanly one might make mistakes but as a celeb one is supposed 2 be more careful in choosing not just better words but also proper words and it becomes a must. She wasn’t after all having a family chat inside the four walls of her sweet home, or wasn’t making some snide comments inside her head. She was going public.
Most importantly I insist U read carefully once again the comments she had posted in this post in apology. She did never apologize for calling Indian food disgusting.
People r bound 2 react till she publicly makes a statement of proper and clear apology rather than trying 2 sound something diplomatic.
She crossed all her limits of civilized existence by calling a food disgusting and she can’t just get over with it by saying that those words weren’t meant to offend Indians and then adding her own countries name in the middle now, by additionally calling Armenian food also disgusting.
She must clearly apologize if she’s so human and made just a mistake.

Okay after watching this episode I thought that probably wasn’t smart but honestly if it were me and my friends or family I would say the same about something I disliked and thought was disgusting maybe she should of chose better words but everyone always complains she is not real and when she is you still complain. She can not and will not make everyone happy but if you don’t like her why waste your time writing on here. She is human she will make mistakes but like everyone here she breaths oxygen bleeds red and she can only be so careful before she just has no control of who she is. I highly doubt that you read these comments, but I felt this was the only way to slightly express to you how insulted I was when you made that comment about Indian food. I am not upset that you don’t like Indian food. I’m perfectly fine with that. Not everyone likes everything and that’s ok. But the way you expressed your opinion was really truly just rude. It’s not about not liking. One is absolutely entitled to dislike something or sat not prefer eating something. But calling something more than a bllion of us not just eat it but love it. We prepare it with somuch interest and enthusiasm and serve to our family, friends and relatives and guests. Calling that ‘DISGUSTING’. That is hurting. It’s the word that is hurting.

I love a lot of Indian food, it is one of my favourite cuisines – but that said, there’s also lots of Indian food I really don’t like… and I wouldn’t expect everyone to like it. I loved on the last season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians when Kourtney, Scott, Khloe, Bruce and Kris went to an Indian restaurant, though. Now I know why Kim wasn’t there!

My dear friend Mr.Farzeen, the grown up. Sir before you jumped into defending Madam Kim, I hope U checked what she herself wrote. She used the word disgusting for food.
There is a lot of difference between not liking a particular food, item or cusine and publicly making a statement that “so-and-so countries food is disgusting”.
Of course I’m sure in any tolerant and democratic society like INDIA, we all respect an individual’s preferences and choices. Even now in her apology she’s not sorry for what she said about food (be it of any country) she just wants to say that she didn’t intend to insult the people of India.
And talking about Indian food, there are around a million different cusines in India, pertaining to each part, of the country, and each section of people.

Maybe it wasn’t your intention to insult Indian people or their culture but the implication was there. You are definitely entitled to your opinions and tastes but you expressed those opinions and tastes poorly. It just emphasizes the fact that you aren’t very smart and obviously have VERY bad manners.

You can say it’s not to your taste. Instead you said a whole culture’s food is gross. ALL of it. As your family is probably getting ready to eat it too.

I’m Dominican and I have Indian friends (friends of various backgrounds too…Albanian, Greek, Portuguese, etc) and we love our parents and grandparents home cooking and our cultures BUT we can also get sick of it at times or complain about certain dishes that ‘smell’.

Imagine the food you love and then think of having it everyday. Of course you get sick of it or find it gross. I also have foods I wouldn’t EVER eat. But I don’t say it’s gross in front of someone that DOES like it or is about to eat it.

You may not have said “It’s gross because Indians make it” but you IMPLIED that. You generalized a culture. I know my friends and I are sensitive enough and smart enough NOT to do that. It would be like insulting my grandma or a friends Greek or Indian parents, etc.

Words mean something and so do manners. This says a lot about your upbringing and education. You reflect poorly on your family when you go around making generalizations and embarrasing them in such a way.
