Just Want to Clear Something Up…
So on this week’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians I said that I thought Indian food was disgusting. In NO way was this intended as an insult to the Indian people or their culture. This is just my own personal taste. There are a lot of foods I don’t like… I hate cilantro and peppers, and there are definitely some Armenian foods that I personally find disgusting, but that doesn’t reflect my opinions on other Armenian people or my culture. My comment wasn’t intended to offend anybody. We all have our own opinions and tastes and I was simply expressing mine.

For those of you comment saying “who cares ” and that she can think what she wants , that is not the point. the point here is how she said it , the lack of a sincere apology or explanation, and the fact that she is in the public eye and has so many people look up to her ( don”t ask me why)

Once I saw the episode I knew it was gonna be something…..Indian food is disgusting! That has nothing to do with Indians! You shouldn’t have to apologize for you taste that makes no sense, people are way tooooo sensitive these days! Relax
You are obviously as (un)educated as Kim. You are allowed to dislike food, but to call food from someone else’s culture “disgusting” is inappropriate.
smartchick007, you are so right! Amira, how would you like it if someone called something that was essential to your culture and heritage and called it disgusting? It’s rude as hell.
A person may be reflective about their opinions about things liked food, im sure she has tasted some nasty food( Indian which may have not been indian at all in the firs place) she nededs to visit a genuine Indian restaurant and try out the different types ofIndian food from different states and even different cultures there to see how wrong she was.Maybe a trip there will change her mind.
OMG! I knew this would happen when you made that comment on the show. You say something positive about a product or anything consumers purchase, no one stands in line waiting to cut you a check. But, say something negative and they’re just waiting to slice you! I love you Kim but be aware!! This is so a repeat of what happened with Oprah and the whole meat thing. I can’t get over how people idolize a two-bit h0-bag who basically pr0stitut3d herself. If you think she didn’t make any $ off of that t@pe, you’re naive. She is a greedy over privileged wh0r3 who doesn’t have talent and has ridden on daddy’s coattails her whole life. What kinds of contributions has she made? Oh, she’s a “fashion designer?” If you call the flimsy clothes that she makes “fashion” then I don’t want to see what’s in your closet. She has children mass producing it for a few cents a piece and she and her sisters won’t even wear it unless it’s to a book signing, since they know that their own clothes is cheap and prefer to wear designer brands. I can’t stand how she flaunts everything she’s got. The rest of the world is in such a terrible situation and she has no pity for people. If you can’t share what you’ve got, at least don’t flaunt it to the rest of the world who can’t afford to live by your standards. I wish a car would run into her family so that one of her TV shows never take up another television block again!

I’m half Indian, I don’t take offence to anyone that does not like Indian food … Personal taste and choice… However, when you’re In the public eye and seeing the number of fans you have on here too who do hang on to your every word, “disgusting” comes across harsh but I don’t think you’ve insulted a whole race or culture lol … I just think when you’re in the public eye every word that comes out your mouth will be scrutinized – fact!! Just need to be a little bit more diplomatic in the way you say things

I’m sorry, it’s not being a little more diplomatic. It’s about being sensible.
And it’s about knowing the compullsions of using proper terminology when wearing the tag of a celeb. And calling a food disgusting is very much insulting the whole race and thousands of years of civilization and culture.
Dude! Food is the essential part of any culture or civilization.

so you said there are definitely some Armenian foods that you personally find disgusting.. will you go in details ? Maybe you find disgusting Tolma or Khachlama, or Gata, or Khorovac or Spas ? (I doubt if you understood what Armenian dishes I named) let us Armenians know, what you meant by saying disgusting.
