Kim Kardashian Cosmopolitan Armenian Cover Turkey Genocide April Rememberance Month

I just found out today that I am on the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine in Turkey this month. Cosmopolitan Magazine has a number of international editions all around the world that run in various territories, and when I did this shoot for the international covers I had no idea that Turkey was planning to run my story on their cover THIS month, considering Genocide Remembrance Day is this month. My Armenian heritage means a lot to me and I’ve been brought up to be incredibly proud of my family’s background and culture so as an Armenian-American woman it is a huge honor for me to be on the first ever Armenian Cosmopolitan cover (pic above.)

I have an amazing relationship with Cosmopolitan Magazine. World-over, Cosmo is known as a fun and inspiring magazine for women of all races, shapes, sizes, regardless of their political beliefs and I really hope that if I can bring awareness to the issue, then this in an accomplishment.

  1. VERY WELL SAID @BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH

  2. If you’re proud of what you do, or what you’ve done, why do you feel the need to back-track and explain yourself? Be proud & move on! Does anyone look at these contracts / gigs you sign up for?Kris Jenner may have bitten off more than she can handle! i.e. 65 million lawsuit due to that credit card scam. The big ooops about W magazine shots of you naked all over the net now. Time for you to get better management so people can tell you when and IF things will be released. And girls, I am not a hater, its just obvious!

  3. I love this cover! True beauty!

  7. Congrats, Kim. I know you don’t take the haters seriously but I feel that I must say that I’ve been following you since the first season of KUWTK. You are one of the most nicest and warmest persons that someone would be so lucky to know. I find that you give awareness to your heritage more so than most people (famous or not). I’m betting most people didn’t even know about Armenia until you bought attention to it. I’ve learned in life that you can’t make everyone happy and those who are jealous or just plain mean will be a hater to more than just 1 person and bring others down. Why do the haters even read your blog? Your true fans support you and I am proud to say that I am one of your true fans. You do good in this world and I am proud to be a part of it. Keep up the great work!

  10. Dear Kim,

I am not so sure if you are reading the comments, however; I would like to post my comments on the Cosmopolitan Turkey subject, hopefully being able to stay objective as I am a Turkish citizen.

I really appreciate the fact that you are proud of your Armenian origins and I totally understand that. What I have trouble in accepting as a Turk is that everyone in the world sees a Turkish individual as the Turkish state. For example, In France, Germany where I have been living for some time, people dont try to look at me as an individual, instead they see Turkey and they judged me based on that.

When I read your comment on the issue, I thought you were doing the same thing. Of course, it must hurt your feelings (to a great extent) that the genocide is not recognized by Turkey. However, Cosmopolitan Turkey is for another purpose than politics or history. People reading that magazine are your supporters, they talk about you as an idol and they are happy to see you in a magazine. They do not see you as Armenia just like you should not see those people as Turkey.

I am not sure if I could make my point clear or if I was overstepping my limit. If I do, please forgive me.

    Regards,
    Omer
