Support the Armenian Genocide Resolution and Make a Difference!
Hi dolls! I wanted to bring something to your attention that I think is a really important issue.
As some of you may be aware, although many of you may not be, Turkey still denies that the Armenian Genocide took place, and the U.S. government has remained silent about it due to pressure from the Turkish government.
The Armenian Genocide was a series of terrible massacres committed by Turkey between 1915 and 1923 that killed members of my extended family and over two million other Armenians and Christians in the Ottoman Empire.
It’s time for America to speak openly and honestly about this horrible crime against humanity, and the only way this will happen is if WE speak up first.
To get your voice heard, call Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, at (202) 225-0100 and ask her to pass the Armenian Genocide Resolution, H.Res.252. This human rights legislation will help make sure that the lessons of this genocide are used to help prevent future crimes against humanity. well turkey is and has always been respectfull to all cultures and races, if wasn’t there wouldn’t be any members of these cultures existed because turks have been ruling that geographical area for almost 1000 years. and infact don’t forget the jews who were running away from spain 500 years ago want help from ottoman empire turks and took shelter behind ottoman empire turks. and also during the world war II, lots of european jews again are saved from germany by turkish government by making them turkish citizen..

This really interest me because I haven’t heard about this genocide. The most recent genocide I’m aware of is Rwanda. It’s definetly going to take more work than just reaching the speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi. Genocide is recognized by the United Stated as a crime worldwide no matter where the genocide occurs. This all has to do with “structural violence” Kim if you want things to change I think you should start making it a point that people get educated and understand that even though the Armenian genocide happened far away it still affects us. People are not going to do anything because It’s naturalize by people in power including the speaker of the house. Therefore, people need to start coming together to make this more visible and make a change for the best interest of all human kind.

What a wonderful issue to bring attention to, Kim. We will do what we can to pass the Armenian Genocide Resolution. There should never be arepeat of 1915 or 1923 for the Armenians.

the land belongs to palestinians, period. they are the natives of that land, just as armenians are the natives of western armenia. when someone commits a genocide against your people and you resist them, you are not a terrorist, you are a freedom fighter. for this reason, many armenian and palestinian resistance groups such as ARA, ASALA, PFLP, PLO all worked together because they had a similar cause.

That land was stolen by the Israelis; it’s like someone going in ur house that u have lived in for years and says “well i lived here 100 years ago so I am taking it back”. I took classes on history of the middle east, and all my professors have said that the land is occupied by the Zionists.
