You guys look gorgeous. It seems that you have been busy with a lot of weddings lately. Therefore I wanted to ask you a question. Im planning or should i say Im wishing for a wedding at the biltmore hotel in miami. I planned to invite about 200 people. Do you think its not Ok to ask my guess for money instead of the regular registry??have you ever been to a wedding where they do that??pleaz let me know. luv and kiss bisoux
Beverly, it’s certainly okay to ask your guests for cash. Simply insert a note with the invitations which states that the bride and groom kindly requests cash donations in lieu of gifts. On the other hand, not everyone feels comfortable giving cash so definitely be grateful for physical gifts. Most importantly – DO NOT forget to send out thank you cards within THREE (3) months (that one year thing is BS). For people who give you cash, it’s always a good idea to let them know how you’re spending their hard earned money – i.e. “Thank you for your wedding gift. It is certainly contributing towards our goal of buying a home.” Good luck and congratulations!
