My sisters and I are so lucky to have had two very strong, loving and truly inspirational father figures in our lives. Many of you know my father passed away from cancer in 2003 and not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. But each day I am grateful for the lessons he taught me.

I remember when I got my very first job and he had me donate 10% of all of my earnings to the church. This is something I continue to do to this day, and is part of the reason I like to be involved with the Dream Foundation as much as possible.

I know there is so much more I could have learned from him, but Bruce has continued to provide me with so many life lessons and I admire him so much for taking on three daughters, and treating us as if we were his own. Thank you Bruce, for always being there for us. I know we are quite a handful at times!!

Dad, I’ll be thinking of you on Sunday. I know you are looking down on us all, and on little Mase. I see you every time I look into his eyes.

To all the fathers out there, Happy Father’s Day.

Khloe posted a gallery of her favorite pics of us with dad so make sure you go look.

  1. Hi Kim,

When I saw those pics you made cry. I lost my dad also 3 years ago and it was so sudden that it was a big shock for all of us. We were so close to him like you all. Thank god that he was a great and strong dad every day, but I miss him so much. Take care XXX

  2. I actually had to stop reading your thing on the pictures cause I started to cry ! I just lost my father in law to the same cancer your dad had and he was diagnosed on Jan. 21 and passed away April 21. Were have 4 yr old twins and a daughter that will be 2 on sunday and every time we look at them it reminds us that he is watching over them is a great feeling.

  3. Hey Kim, I love that you did this. I lost my dad too, in 2004. I was 17, he died on his birthday. It’s hard for a girl to lose her daddy, the one man in her life that she truely, truely knows deep down in her heart, that he loves her. Hope you had a great Fathers Day with Bruce and your family!

  4. Kim, first and foremost you blew me away with your words. Second of all, for you to share what your dad instilled in you growing up says alot about you. There is no doubt about it that you are a beautiful woman phyiscally, but what most makes you beautiful is your persona. You are a humble and giving woman. You carry yourself like a lady. You are a giver and never seem to ask for anything in return. Your dad, I know is looking down at you and your sisters and is smiling at you all and is very, very proud at the women that you all have grown up to be. Women and girls (and yes some guys…lol) all over the world admire you and want to be like you and your sisters. If more people were like you and your sisters…this world would be a better place…I just lost an aunt to cancer…she was very ill she was diagonsed with brain and lung cancer…she was living in CA all she wanted was to come back to Texas with my daddy…well my daddy flew out there to try and bring her back I looked everywhere and called every foundation there was….I tried to get her back to Texas…my daddy left the next day to go to her side…when he called the hospital to let them know that that he had arrived @ the airport and to check on her condition they told him that she was hanging in there. The nurse walked in to tell her my daddy was there and on his way…she smiled and fell into a coma…3 days later she passed away. I know she’s in a better place…and well what I want to say is that I know that if she would have been better one these foundations that you and many others make the donations to would have helped her and for that Kim I want to say Thank You! Your donations not only would have helped her but they continue to help many other people, people that you help make a significant difference in their lives… You have your special place saved for you in heaven…you are a beautiful person inside and out….God Bless You and your beautiful family! Best of luck to you in everything you do…You deserve all the happiness in the world…Love ya…
