The Frisky have done a really cute blog about how to get my short cropped bob look that I wore to the MuchMusic Video Awards. You all know I would never just cut off all my hair just like that for one night's red carpet, so I had Ken Paves and Roberta Rogers work their magic on my hair to create a shorter look for the evening. It turned out great!
Nina Carbone at The Frisky has given a 4-step guide on how to create a similar look without chopping off your hair.
Step #1 Start with sorta dirty hair (unwashed hair is the key to pretty much every up-’do because the second-day oil equal major texture and lots for hair pins to cling on to). If you’ve got stick straight hair, drag out the curling iron (or curl your hair in rollers if you got ‘em) and wind random sections around the barrel of a one inch or larger iron. The more haphazard the better. Keep clicking for more faux-bobs and additional instructions.
Step #2 Part your hair horizontally, half way up your head and pin the top hair up (and out of your way). Split the bottom hair in half, tease or backcomb each hair section and then messily finger curl it and pin to your head. Let the ends stick out, a little frizz is actually ideal and don’t stress if you can’t see what it looks like—you don’t need to, it’s all about your hair looking a little screwed-up.
Step #3 OK, your next step is to take down the top part of your hair, split it into manageable sections and backcomb it. (Sort like the bottom sections.) Then, loosely finger curl small sections and pin under, at the crown of your head. Make it pretty, or at least the way you like it. When you’re done, use the curling iron to curl any shorter front pieces, if you got ‘em.
Step #4 Hairspray! That’s the last step in your at-home process. Don’t be shy with the hairspray.

Kim I absolutely adore you, but I have to agree with Stiletto Vixen. When I first saw these photos I thought you looked washed out.Maybe a thicker liner or something. I like the natural look on you but this kinda looks unfinished. Either way your gorgeous!

You looked great! I loved the hair, definitely a brunette Marilyn Monroe. You & Reggie looked amazing, very on point as a couple. I really like Brody's GF dress, would have like to see you wear that dress, very pretty. Is that a belt w/ ur dress?

funny how it prolly took 3 hours to look like ur wearing less make up and have shorter hair. proves that the cosmetics and money make the girl. ud be so ugly without ur money to hide behind.

Hey babe...While I believe that you look better with longer hair, it's nice that you turned your locks inward instead of cutting them off for that short look. Not bad. Take care...luv ya like the wind...SMOOCH!

This is not one of your best looks. I'm really surprised that Ken Paves created this look for you. You would have looked better with a basic ponytail.
