I Went Blonde!

April 26, 2009 / 334 Comments

It’s a wig! Did I have you fooled? I
did a fabulous
photo shoot this weekend
for Scott Barnes book called About Face. Chuckie Amos did the hair and transformed me with this blonde wig and they put this hair piece on! I haven’t
taken it off since, because I’m really loving the look.
I’ve been
wearing it around New York and everyone thought it was my real hair!
It’s making me want to dye my hair and maybe go lighter for the summer.
What do you think? Should I dye it for real?

Reggie Surprises me at Sirius Radio

Haha, ok it wasn’t REALLY Reggie! I went into Sirius radio to do a radio station tour, and look what was on the wall! Reggie’s fathead!

I also stopped by Hot 97 to do an interview with my girl Angie Martinez, and had to snap a pic with all the boys from radio. They were
all there to announce Summer Jam! I will post the interview with Angie as
soon as it airs!

I’ll have complete details on how to enter on Wednesday but for now, check out this clip from my appearance on the Tyra Banks Show
where Tyra and I chat about the contest. This episode airs on Wednesday
but I wanted you guys to see the clip first and get you excited for the
competition.

The two lovely lookalikes in the pictures are Rebecca and Jessenia, and they are two finalists who will go up against 8 other lookalikes! All will be explained very very soon.

Reflecting on the Armenian Genocide

April 24, 2009 / 101 Comments

My family and I are extremely proud of our heritage. As a half-Armenian girl growing up, my dad taught me a lot about Armenian culture and I do feel a real connection with my heritage, so today I would like to honor the Armenian people that were killed in 1915 during the Armenian Genocide.

I feel that the Armenian Genocide is somewhat of a taboo subject, and people are uncomfortable talking about it. Well out of respect for all those innocent people that died, I’m putting a spotlight on it today. Today only 21 countries have recognized the killings as a genocide. I wasn’t there, and I know sometimes history books aren’t necessarily 100% correct, but regardless of the term used to label what happened, over a million people died, and that deserves some recognition on this day.

I’m sending out love to my family and friends, to anyone that had friends and relatives affected by the tragedy and to all Armenians who stand proud!

Phew!! I’m not as Twitter and blog obsessed as Ashton Kutcher, according to OK! Magazine. I’m getting there though, haha.

I was in the press quite a bit this week. I even managed to make it into two “Who Wears it Bests?!” Well, actually In Touch’s article is titled “Who Wore it Better?” Which is the right way to say it? haha.

Take a look through my press clippings from this week.
