I tried the smashbox primer today and i really liked it! My foundation really stayed on for longer, and it looked soooo much better, it didnt get oily and spottish looking at all!!!!! At first when i put it on,it kinda peeled off a bit when i Put my concealer on ,on the red spots, so i thought oh no,this will never work , but it didnt peel off at all when i put my bare minerals foundation on, and the result was just so pretty! U really see the difference! So i think you should go and get a sample of it !=) I want to try the bare minerals primer too as Kiki recommended,so I will try to get a sample of that one too , so I can compare. But so far im liking this one a lot!!=)

I have not tried the MAC paint yet but since I am a weekly visitor to the MAC counter at Macy's I will probably give it a try soon. Right now I use Urban Decays Eyeshadow Primer Potion and that works really good and its only $16.00.

Hey Christine !=) I know you asked Kim, but ill give you my tip anyway hehe=) First you should exfoliate your lips once in awhile, you can do i with a tooth brush. And then you need a goooood moisturizeing lip balm! I recommend 100% Shea butter by L’occitane!! It is the best!! It comes in a small box which you can carry in you bag, and a bigger box ,i have both and i fill my little container up with the big one when its empty. It’s the best ,ive tried sooo many lip balms, but this one is truly amazing! And you can use it all over your body if you like, very good for dry areas! Hope this helps, and I hope you find it as amazing as I do! =)

hey hun no u dont use moisturizer after u have used a primer. cos its a different formula & its like a moisturizer any way it smoothes out your skin. but if u have run out of primer u can use your moisturizer but make sure it says on back that its sutable

whoops.. ran out of space.. Anyway, i was going to say that i also use this same setting powder over my eyeshadow and other makeup.. especially around they eye area.. i can go to sleep and wakeup the next morning with my makeup still exactly the same..

I'm a big fan of Bare Escentials for day time use only.. but the mineral veil for setting is useless.. you really have to get a professional setting powder.. I use Kryolan.. you get a huge tub and it's not expensive.. google it..

ALSO SETTING YOUR FOUNDATION WITH POWDER IS A MUST! XOXO

I wear the bare minerals and it doesn't look like I have makeup on. I only use a little. I also have the primer. I will only use it for Winter because my skin is oily. My makeup guy @ Sephora suggested it to help the minerals stick and not look ashy. LOL

You're welcome. I had the same problem before. Now I go out for like 5 hours and look exactly the same as when I put it on. Great stuff. Just make sure to let it dry completely before putting the foundation on or you'll get streaks

you should try bare minerals. Doesnt feel like a foundation. And the primer is lighter than moisterizer, you can't feel it at all

It may also depend on what brand makeup youre wearing. You get what you pay for with makeup. MAC and MAKEUP FOREVER are two really good brands, I only really need a touchup say after work if I'm going out. EYESHADOW try BURGOIS, think thats whats it called

Bare minerals also has a primer now. Works just like smasbox, except it doesnt make me break out. They also have an eyelid primer. You have to carry your mineral veil with you and put it on a few times a day, and you'll never have a problem

For the lid, you also have the primer potion of Urban Decay. It works good too!

Ive just started using foundation and i use bare minerals foundation just like Mae does,it really blends nicely into ur skin and it looks very natural,but ive also noticed that it fades away and that it makes my skin look oily.I remembered that Kim has tipped us about the Smashbox primer, so i got a sample of it some days ago,and im going to try it and see if it makes it better,i really hope it does,because ive found the perfect color foundation and would like to still use it! Yes Kim I agree the MAC paints are amazing. Best colors are bare study and painterly. I love painterly because once you put it on it doesn't interfere with the color of shadow you want to use. Some of them make your shadows change color.

I've always thought about user primer but never have. I usually put moisturizer on and then my foundation. Just wondering if anyone knows, if you use primer do you still need to put moisturizer on?
