How to make your makeup last
Hi Kim,
How do you keep your makeup stay fresh all day without the foundation and eye shadow fading? I use Bare Minerals foundation. And after a couple hours it seems like it just goes away.

Great advice! I use the Smashbox primer and it works great!
I’ve always thought about user primer but never have. I usually put moisturizer on and then my foundation. Just wondering if anyone knows, if you use primer do you still need to put moisturizer on?
hey hun no u dont use moisturizer after u have used a primer. cos its a different formula & its like a moisturizer any way it smoothes out your skin. but if u have run out of primer u can use your moisturizer but make sure it says on back that its sutable

Yes Kim I agree the MAC paints are amazing. Best colors are bare study and painterly. I love painterly because once you put it on it doesn’t interfere with the color of shadow you want to use. Some of them make your shadows change color.

see, im like you LAgirl.. i love makeup but i hate having alot on my face. i wear a loose powder, but i’ve never tried a foundation, let alone wearing a primer underneath :(

you should try bare minerals. Doesnt feel like a foundation. And the primer is lighter than moisterizer, you can’t feel it at all
I wear the bare minerals and it doesn’t look like I have makeup on. I only use a little. I also have the primer. I will only use it for Winter because my skin is oily. My makeup guy @ Sephora suggested it to help the minerals stick and not look ashy. LOL
exactly. i dont like to feel like im caking on makeup. too many layers.
moisturizer, then primer, then powder foundation, and then the translucent powder throughout the day??

MY SKIN IS REALLY DRY IN THE WINTER AND MILK OF MAGNESIA DOESN’T WORK WELL WITH MY SKIN IN THE COLD. BUT, I LUV IT IN THE SUMMER, WHEN ITS REALLY HOT MY MAKEUP DOESN’T MOVE AT ALL!
