Today is World AIDS Day and I want to send a message of awareness and hope in honor of all of the victims of this terrible epidemic.
When I was young, a friend of my mom's passed away after battling AIDS. It is something that has hit home with me and that I have grown up being aware of.
Researchers appear closer to a vaccine and the World Health Organization has released a strategy to contain HIV in the next ten years. A key part of the WHO's plan: prevention.
Have you been tested? Are you practicing safe sex?

Hi Kim,
I am appreciative that you took the time to recognize World AIDS Day!
However I find it sad that pathetic people would take the time to bring up your pass. We don't have time for this.
I'm sure you have learn from you pass, but EVERYBODY HAS A PASS!
PEOPLE ARE DYING OUT HERE BECAUSE OF AIDS!
Thank you using your celebrity status to blog about this wicked disease.
And one more thing..Keep doing you Kim!
And to those haters..shut up and go volunteer!

Like 7up, never had, it never will... (at 39), so the risk is minimal.
