I love your positive attitude. I was going to say he will have some extra time now, but I didn't know if it was appropriate lol. For me, whenever I go through a rough time (with anything, not just financially), it helps if I sit down and think about all of the GOOD things going on. Not much time goes by before I realize how lucky I am, and it's just a little bump in the road.

He's actually looking forward to having lots of time off :-) He's a finance advisor for Merrill Lynch...probably in the top 10 of the worst possible jobs to have right now...so we were kind of expecting something like this. But I'm still grateful, he still has a job, and we still have a home. Right about now, that's better than a lot of people, so I can't complain.

Ugh! It wasn't that deep, but I did have to take him to the ER -- his first stitches! I think it was harder for me than it was for him lol. Does your brother have a scar now? Luckily my baby's cut is UNDER his chin, so hopefully it won't be too noticable...

He's salary, so he just said, "ok, I'll only show up to work half the time then!" It's getting scary out there

Me too especially for Christmas. Its an excuse to have glittery, sparkly, gold shiny things everywhere, without someone walking in your house thinking its a Vegas casino. It can be as gawdy and obnoxious as you want and its still pretty because its Christmas lol. I decorated my condo with my mom. We did it the weekend after Thanksgiving, and my boyfriend had to work. He helped put up the stuff that was too high for us though lol.
My tree is alright (it's fake and pretty small), but my mom's is AMAAAZING! It's seriously the most beautiful tree I've ever seen. It's SO tall and full, and the ornaments on it are perfect.
Christmas is creeping up on me this year! I haven't gotten any presents for ANYBODY yet (my son will be easy, but the others will take me forever lol). Talk about procrastinating...

The tree is cute, not something I would want in my house, but it looks good for a party. My tree is red, gold, and silver. I love decorating with my husband. I don't think my husband is really into it, but he pretends like he is to make me happy. My niece made me a ginger bread house and my dogs ate it last night! lol they should be pretty sick right about now! Just curious, was there a small dog there just so people could dress him up? That seems weird.
