Rumor Control: ‘Playboy’

There are a bunch of reports about me on the web saying that I snubbed Hugh Hefner. They’re quoting me as saying, “It was a one-off. I don’t think I’ll do Playboy or anything like that again.”

I WAS TOTALLY MISQUOTED.

First of all, I have never used the term “one-off.” It’s simply not in my vocabulary.

UPDATE: I’ve read some of your comments and I feel like I need to clarify my point of view on the matter….

I’m not planning to pose for the magazine any time soon. My whole point in this post is to say I would never snub Hugh Hefner. I love him and his whole team were lovely to me and treated me like family.

Lately I have steered away from sexier shoots but it doesn’t mean I’m afraid to be sexy or ashamed of that. I have no regrets. One day you never know, but it’s not the direction I’m going in now.

    Katherine – you are correct, I don’t think playboy is a trashy magazine either. Someone mentioned in an earlier comment that Cindy Crawford has posed for playboy. I believe that Cindy Crawford has posed more than once for playboy.

    i am a fan of Kim’s and while I myself wouldn’t do Playboy if i were her, it is ultimately Kim’s choice. insulting and bashing on her won’t make any difference. but you can express what you have to say without any disrespect.

    anon 9:49 – Her mother Kris would not have a problem with it. Khloe recently mentioned that she would pose for playboy depending on the type of photos taken.

    kim herself was supposedly hesitant to do playboy at first so she must not have seen it as being to classy either. It’s the money that made her do it and her mom was happy because she got her 10%.

    Plenty of amazing talents have posed for Playboy, Cindy Crawford, Drew Barrymore, Stacey Dash, Marilyn Monroe, Dita Von Teese, Elle Macpherson, Farrah Fawcett, Sharon Stone, etc. Playboy has a great history, but I think people connect nudity with indecency…which depending on who you are as a person you either agree with or not. I don’t agree with that b/c..who cares. Someone could be fully covered in a business suit and still be scum of the earth. Clothes don’t make the person..

    but i just think Kim is trying to play both sides of the fence (I dont want to be sexual and known for my body/but if the right opportunity comes then sure I can be known for that) and as a fan I dont like that.

    Hey Kim!!! I think you know what is right for you!!!! Who cares what others think!! You looked amazing in playboy and if the oppurtunity came up again to do it I think you totally should!! You are a celebrity there is nothing wrong with doing a tasteful shoot for a tasteful magazine! Keep up the good work!
