Remember back in the day when I wore my Obama shirt? Yes, it is true: I was a supporter from the start! I have to say, I am beyond thrilled that Barack Obama was elected and I am looking forward to witnessing all of the historic change that his Presidency promises!
The election wasn't all thrills for me, however. I have been holding my breath today, hoping that California's Prop 8 (which bans gay marriage) would not pass. But, unfortunately it has. I hear it is being challenged in the courts by civil rights groups and I’m hopeful our legal system will find Prop 8 unjust.
How are you feeling about the election?

UMMM OK NOT EVERYONE IS CHRISTIAN SO SOME PEOPLE NEED TO STOP ACTING LIKE EVERYONE HAS TO FOLLOW THEIR RELIGION AND THIER BIBLE. THERE ARE MANY RELIGIONS. STOP SAYING "GAY MARRIAGE SHOULD BE BANNED BECAUSE THE BIBLE SAYS SO". DOESN'T THE BIBLE ALSO SAY TO BE KIND TO THY NEIGHBOUR, AND NOT TO JUDGE? DOESN'T THE BIBLE ALSO SAY THAT YOU SHOULD GET STONED FOR CURSING AT YOUR PARENTS? DOESN'T THE BIBLE SAY THAT LYING IS WRONG YET IM SURE MOST OF YOU HAVE LIED. DOESN'T THE BIBLE SAY THAT PRE-MARITAL SEX IS WRONG? BUT YET YOU IDOLIZE KIM FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS. PLEASE, STOP USING YOUR RELIGION AS A BASIS FOR HOW OUR WORLD SHOULD BE. HOW IS TWO MEN GETTING MARRIED AFFECTING YOU IN ANY WAY??? I MEAN REALLY MANY MEN CREEP ON THEIR WIVES AND RUIN THE WHOLE "IMAGE" OF WHAT MARRIAGE IS SUPPOSED TO BE AND DON'T FOLLOW THEIR WEDDING VOWS, SO WHY DON'T YOU PREACH ON THAT TOO !!!!! THE "KKK" PRIDE THEMSELVES ON BEING CHRISTIAN AND LOOK HOW THEY ARE !!!!! IF YOU ARE SO WORRIED ABOUT YOUR RELIGION AND WHAT IS RIGHT AND WRONG WHY DON'T YOU START WITH REAL SINNERS INSTEAD !!!!!!!!!!

Prop 8 is not for people who hate gays/lesbians, Thats for people who believe in the sanctity of marriage. So you to call us narrow minded, well look in the mirror cus all your concerned about is us agreeing with you. So who is narrow minded now? We cant make u agree with us just like U cant make us agree with you or strait! I just put verses so u guys can see why people believe in traditional marriage.

He has made history. I feel so much for those who lived through the times when segregation was a part of daily life. This is a win especially for those people who stood through the tough challenges and fought against the odds during the 1960s. President Obama is and was the best bet for the election! Ok Kim... I am with you on Obama but I am not with you one Prop 8. This is the reason why:
The first verse of the BIBLE was from Leviticus 20:13 - where it says that a man shall not lie with another man as he would with a woman, and if he does, this act will be considered an abomination in the eyes of God. second verse was from 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 - where it lists the sin of homosexuality as one of the specific sins that will literally keep you from being able to enter into heaven when you die and cross over.
ITS THERE BLACK AND WHITE PEOPLE!!!!
donna says: | Reply
Stilletto Vixen-YOU SAID IT!
And for people to say that blacks are the reason why Obama is president is a joke!!
African Americans make up like 15% of the population!
There's NO way possible we are the reason he's president. We didn't bring him into the White House by ourselves.
White folks are the reason he's president. Cause they believed in him and the Change he's talking about.
Stiletto Vixen says: | Reply
To Justine:
I'm sorry let me break this down.
First off, Discriminatory against whites?? How is that possible? All affirmative action does is make sure everyone is given an equal chance. If they had been given that chance before there wouldn't be a need for it. There have been many studies that show that whites got preferential treatment just based on their skin color and were hired more than blacks regardless of the persons skillset. It just makes sure that a company highers a certain percentage of minorities to ensure that they are given jobs. Whites have if I need to remind you a 400 year lead on blacks who were enslaved for 400 years and whether you think so or not the consequences of that still live today. I'm not one of those militant people but its the truth racism is alive and well like you wouldn't believe comments on these blogs and comments from this very past election has proved such. The civil rights movement was only a few decades ago, minorities are thought of many times as inferior to whites and affirmative action makes sure that they are given a fair shake.
What may I ask though does this have to do with Obama being elected for president? He was elected because he was the best candidate. It had nothing to do with his race. It had to do with his spirit and the vision he has on where he sees this country in the future. Please do not allow your close minded ignorance to tell your brain fabricated stories and excuses. Polls show that more whites voted for Obama than blacks did. So your telling me they voted for him because he is black also??? Get a grip on reality and notice that this country is moving on past the ignorance, past the color barriers without you. So you can just go sulk in a corner and complain. That's all you can do because as of Jan 20, 2009 he will be our president and your Neo-Nazi views can't do anything about that. Blacks are just as much Americans as whites Everyone in this country is an immigrant except for the Native Americans you remember that. The stench of the ignorance on these blogs is very overwhelming. We are equal. I hope there will be a day when Affirmative Action won't be necessary but that time unfortunately is not now. I would hate for you to be in a hiring position the thought alone makes me feel queasy.

Civil Rights! Ha! Women's Civil Rights and Black Civil Rights it totally different, than from Gays being married! Women's Civil Rights was an effort to be treated the same. As well as Blacks! Gays are treated the same! I can marry a man as can a lesbian marry a man. I can't marry a women nor can a lesbian marry a women. THAT IS EQUAL! So the Civil Rights is bull crap if its talking about Gay Marriage. The definition of "CIVIL RIGHTS" is about to be ruined as was the definition of "GAY."
Women can vote as can Men, that is equal! Black and whites are treated equal, besides ignornance/racism that can be seen in BOTH races (obviously, if Obama's president whites can't be that racist)!
YES on Prop 8!
If proposition 8 did not pass, they would be able to teach gay marriage in education curriculum.
I'll home school once proposition 8 does not pass!

Kim, first of, you are such a beautiful young lady! You are very brave to read this comments. I am sure you are tryign to be loyal to your fans but some of these comments are just ridiculous. Everyone has their opinion, but to say some things directly to you when they do not even personally know you? Anyways, I think people are forgetting that Prop 8 is not about taking anyones rights away. It's about restoring the meaning of marriage. I doesn't take away from homosexuals, it's a label they want to have but what's wrong with civil joining. Marriage is between a man and a woman. I have nothing against homosexuals,I have friends as well as co-workers. Everyone is forgetting the true meaning of Prop 8. It's a label people want to make something different "right". There are plenty of people that are happy without having to have the label of being married. There are those who believe in marriage before starting a family, it's all again in defining what marriage is. As for Obama, i think it's wonderful he was elected, but again why do we all have to label and keep on referring to him as our black president. Why not just state that He is our nations president. It is definitely history in the making but I think we should all have enough respect to call him our President and not our black President. Go Obama!

I HATE when people generalize Christians, and I think it makes THEM look ignorant and close minded. Not all Christians are the same, and I'm far from thinking I'm "so effing holy."
Ultimately, it is NOBODY's place to judge anybody else. Let God do that. I am straight, but I do think that everybody should have the same rights. If two guys (or girls) want to get married, I say go for it! It has absolutely NOTHING to do with me, so I'm not really worried about it.
And I don't think there's anything wrong with the shirt lol. I think it's just meant to be fun, and I honestly don't think Obama would mind that it says he is whoever's "homeboy." It's not that serious.

I think it's soo funny that you can't be a Christian AND support gay marriage. Personally I think that you Christians have been brainwashed by the church and that's why people don't like Christians cause you're ignorant and so closed minded. You think you're so effing holy and anybody who isn't a Christian isn't good enough.I'm ashamed to call myself a Christian. GAYS ARE PEOPLE! Gays can be Christians too. My brothers gay AND a Christian! He knows he's sinning but he can't change that he likes men.

Prop 8 well, God's design and plan for marriage is NOT man w/man or woman w/woman. If we claim we are Christians or if anyone is wearing a cross on their neck, that's you representin JESUS CHRIST, SON OF GOD WHO DIED FOR OUR SINS SO THAT WE MAY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN. In the Bible, you can read JONH 3:16. If Prop 8 had been passed, then might as well let the end of the earth come to an end. GOD DID NOT CREATE MARRIAGE FOR SAME SEX, BUT MARRIAGE IS UNITY FOR A MAN AND WOMAN.
THANK YOU.

He believes in education, not posing naked for money. It's great you voted for him but this blog is ridiculous, saying how you supported him "back in the day". What a whole 5 months ago? Come on kim you didn't even vote in the primaries when was up against hilary. You said this is your first time voting so don't say you supported him from the get go. Man you want credit for everything don't you. I guess if MAC sees an increase in sales you want credit for that too huh? Ok ill let you have that credit because i know some of these super fans buy whatever make-up you wear, lol even if it's not right for their complexion or features. There must be alot of young girls looking like clowns out there. If i were a MAC worker, i wouldn't let a girl buy something i knew would not look right on her.

SHE SAID SHE VOTED FOR THE FIRST TIME ON NOVEMBER 4TH. SO IM GUESSING SHE DIDN'T EVEN VOTE IN THE PRIMARIES THEN WHEN OBAMA WAS RUNNING AGAINST HILARY ! Christine - i think some people are just saying that for minorities and those of the lower and middle class, Obama's victory has a more special meaning that others just can not understand. They have the right to feel that way. Being a minority myself, knowing that a African American man has become prersident, just feels like doors have opened for all of us minorities. Some of us can relate to Obama more than others. We have a right to feel that way. Don't take offense.
-------
I totally agree! As an African American myself what I feel about a black man becoming president is truly undescribable! I think you understand the historical achievement part of it but you don't understand i guess the empowering part of it. Blacks[and minorities] have always been put on the lower pedestal while whites seem to be put on the higher one. Barack becoming president proves that we are all EQUAL! And we can achieve great things regardless of our race.
As for the prop 8 thing..I'm soo upset it was passed. I call myself a Christian, and I know someone is gonna say your not a Christian if you support gays, but when it comes down to it homosexuals are people too and they don't deserve less rights just because of their sexual preference. It's exactly the same as when blacks & whites couldn't marry except now instead of race it's sexuality. And the fact that they used kids to make people choose to vote yes is pathetic.
Overall this election was major and I'm gonna be so proud to tell my children in the future that I was part of a black man becoming president.
Carmen says: | Reply
Obama 08!!!!
I think alot of people got confussed on Prop 8 for the reason of wanting to let kids at school know that is okay to be gay. And alot of people beliefs are different is not that they don't want gay people to get married they could careless what they do with there lives. They voted yes on prop 8 for the sacred of marriage and for their kids. Alot of people would of voted No on prop 8, but they don't want their kids to be involved.

Im gonna be straight up with you. Im a republican all the way. I wanted John McCain to win, because I just feel that he's what the country needs. People have this preconceived notion that he's gonna be another Georgia Bush, yea to a certain extent yea because they are both republicans. But just because you thought Bush bombed didn't mean that McCain was gonna bomb. People always say that we didn't need another Bush. But the thing is we wouldn't. Somebody saying that mccain being president is like having bush all over again, is like saying that all African American's eat chicken. Which by the way is not true might I add. And in no way was I trying to be rasist when I said that. I was just using that as an example of how people like to stereo type since that one's a pretty common towards african americans. Im not gonna say that Im happy that he's our president because I am far from happy. But everyone's gonna have to learn to deal with it as time goes by. Even though I didn't want him as president, there's nothing we can do about it. What's done is done. Like McCain said "The People have spoken." I just hope Obama can prove us republicans wrong. I just pray that God has everything under control.

I have gay friends, my hair dresser is gay, I just don't believe MARRIAGE should be with the same sex. Leaving all the politics and everything behind, we're left with our beliefs and our morals, and I rather stick to that and be on God's side. Is it really worth loosing our salvation over?

I REALLY DON'T GET PEOPLE LIKE YOU. I JUST TAUGHT PIANO EARLIER TO 2 OF MY PIANO STUDENTS, WHO ARE WEALTHY AND THEY WERE PISSED TOO THAT OBAMA WON.
LET ME TELL YOU THIS;
PEOPLE WHO HAVE OVER $250.000 , DAMN RIGHT TAX THEM. DON'T TAX THE SMALL PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO SURVIVE.
MY HUSBAND, WHO IS BLACK JUST LOST HIS JOB AS AN POLICE OFFICERS, BECAUSE 2 WHITE TRAINERS DIDN'T WANT HIM THERE. ONE OF THEM TOLD HIM IN THE FACE:"
YOU PROBABLY CAN BE A COP SOMEWHERE ELSE, BUT NOT AROUND HERE."
I'M 27, IN GRADUATE SCHOOL, TEACH AS MUCH AS I CAN, HAVE A 4-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER, BUT NOW WE DON'T HAVE ANY HEALTH INSURANCE, AND EVEN THE UNEMPLOYMENT OFFICE IS GIVING US TROUBLE TO GET $550 EVERY 2 WEEKS.
IS THAT FAIR? BOTH OF US, MY HUSBAND AND I ARE COLLEGE GRADUATES, WE DON'T BELONG TO THE "LOW CLASS". WHAT IS THAT?
IM HAPPY OBAMA WON AND EUROPE AND THE WORLD WAS FOR OBAMA.
AMERICA NEEDS TO THINK GLOBALLY, YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT HIGH GAS PRICES.
DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH GAS PRICES ARE IN EUROPE, AND WHY PEOPLE DRIVE SMALL CARS WITH STICK SHIFT??
STOP BEING DEPENDENT ON OIL, USE SOLAR POWER, ALTERNATIVES THINK ABOUT TOMORROW AND YOUR ENVIROMENT.
OBAMA DOES, ....HE WANTS TO PAY TEACHERS MORE. YES, THEY WORK HARD, THEY DESERVE A RAISE.
McCAIN NEVER SUPPORTED THE ARTS, OBAMA DOES.
THAT'S WHY I AM FOR OBAMA.
YES WE CAN. FOR A BETTER TOMORROW. i am with you kim.

To "NOBAMA"...Just because YOU don't know why people voted for Obama doesn't mean that those who did, have no clue as to why they did. How ignorant of you to presume such a thing. Kim and everybody else does not need to give you an explanation as to why they voted for the candidate that was not your choice. That's none of your business. Just accept that Obama is now our new president and he won by..and i quote.."A LANDSLIDE" in electoral votes. So i'm pretty sure those people were very aware of what they were doing and why. Just because you can't understand it, doesn't make it unjust. Your candidate lost, and OBAMA won. It is what it is. The sooner people like you can accept that, the quicker this country can begin to come together and move forward.

This is to what NOBAMA wrote.
I was just wondering have you ever taken a college course or actually know anything about taxes? People who make $350,000 pay the same percentage (about 35%) of taxes as people who make ANYTHING above that for example people making 10 million a year, they still pay 35% in taxes. That would be like since people making under $16,000 pay 10% in taxes, then people who make 90,000, or anything above 16,000 should then also pay 10% in taxes. DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. Ya no one likes paying taxes, but yes we have to and it should be about FAIRNESS. What do you have to say to that?

I was so happy to see Obama win but all day I kept checking to see if there was anyway Prop 8 would fail. I'm straight and have been with my b/f for 3 years but I was very interested in this Prop. My boyfriend and I fought over it and I stormed out of his house and we haven't talked much because his views piss me off. I can't help it. I think it's because of his parents and the things they tell him. They were for McCain and when I tried talk to my b/f and pointing out that his beliefs don't match with McCain he started to realize maybe he isn't for McCain after all. But then his dad got involved and when we started talking about the Props that's when I got very irritated... ESPECIALLY over Prop 8.
I don't want to start fighting with all the conservatives here, but I feel like it is a huge setback and hopefully it will not take as long for a gay couple to marry as it has for us to have a Black President.
Like I heard someone say, we just put those who are Gay at the back of the bus.

Hey Kim!
I was just as psyched as you were when I heard that Obama had won. I couldn't believe it - history has been made and I had something to do with it. I think it's beautiful and a lot of changes will definitely happen with him in office. I really think that a lot of closed-minded people will try to ruin him though and that is too unfortunate. This is the 21st century and people are still so closed-minded. I heard that in Asia people were celebrating Obama's victory also. How cool is that? But anyways we have one thing in common, I was totally rocking my Obama shirt too way before election day. I got a few weird looks but I could care less since I really believe that we have a great candidate! But yeah, just wanted to share my thoughts with you too!

The feeling was indescribable!!! It's about time Democrats took back the White House. They were truly missed. This was my first time voting as well, and it felt really good to see that my vote really counted. We live in a great country where anything is possible. I have never been more proud to be an American than i did last night when they announced that BARACK OBAMA was elected President of the United States! History in the making! Thank you Kim and everybody else who supported, campaigned, and voted for Obama. YES WE CAN!!!!

heyyy Kim..Can i just ask you one question? Why did you vote for Obama? I honestly think hes plans arent good and his not going to help America. I think he is going to make it worse. Most of the people that voted from him dont even know why. I dont understand why he is going to give more taxes to small business and also tax the people that are making 250,000 or more. thats just not fair...people work hard for there money and there going to have to give to thos that dont thats not right. I feel as if he is a liar always changing up his words. But what ever he won now...well see what a "great change" he does.

I want to first start off by congratulating everyone that supported Obama in this well deserved victory. YES WE CAN!! I also want to say at how proud I am of our generation. I'm 23 and I'm so amazed at the that on a blog like this young females (including you Kim) are discussing real issues as well as other not so important ones. I'm proud to see everyone getting along and realizing that everyone has an opinion. As far as Latina Princess and Keeping it Real...I too am a hispanic female and I love how we can be so supportive of eachother despite our opposing views. :)

What a "wonderful" historic time in America! Martin Luther King Jr would be so proud to see that his dream has now come true. My heart breaks for the fact that President Obama's grandmother did not get to see this historic event. She deserves all the recognition for all her loving sacrifices and hard work which was not only for her grandson but for all of us Americans. Thank-you Mrs. Madelyn Dunham May God craddle you in his loving arms. And May God Bless America!

I personally liked Kim's outfit to vote. I love high waisted jeans and the cherry blossom pink colored button up was a subdued color that didnt shout or demand attention. Yeah, she had some cleavage showing, which some people may feel uncomfortable with, but I overall I found her outfit to be respectable. But I'm also have an extremely open minded view with clothes, so it might just be my personality.

It baffles me how a liberal state like california with it's "forward thinking" citizens would ban gay marriage. I just don't get it. The same people who voted for "change" when they voted for Obama also voted "yes" on prop 8. Wow makes no sense. Let's have change ALL AROUND. People should be able to marry anyone they want. How is that hurting anyone? I don't get it. Anways i'm glad Obama won !!!!!!!

kim i was just on thesuperficial.com and i was just going through the blogs and they had one of you...they showed pics of you voting yesterday. Did you really need to have your boobs and bra showing just to go and vote??? Come on. Why can't women dress more classy and demand more respect? I mean jeez you were going to vote, not to a club.

I was beginning to think that you didnt want to get too political on your blog when you didnt post earlier today Kim, so I'm glad you did. I remember in back in 2004 when Barack Obama gave the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention, I was so moved. I was only 15 then, but what he said spoke to me profoundly. I never felt so inspired by anyone, I literally mean anyone. He speaks to people's greatest hopes and aspirations which transcends anyone ethnicity, age group, or gender. So last night when I watched the results come in overwhelmingly favorable for him, I cried immediately. I am proud today, not only as an African American, but as an American in general. Change won't come easy, we all have to be willing to scrafice and do our parts..but I know that yesterday on November 4th 2008, we as Americans took the first step towards real change. Thanks for the post
xoxo

Christine - i think some people are just saying that for minorities and those of the lower and middle class, Obama's victory has a more special meaning that others just can not understand. They have the right to feel that way. Being a minority myself, knowing that a African American man has become prersident, just feels like doors have opened for all of us minorities. Some of us can relate to Obama more than others. We have a right to feel that way. Don't take offense.

HEY KIM,
HONESTLY I THINK THAT IT GOES BEYOND COLOR, GENDER, WHATEVER OBAMA IS AN EDUCATED, WELL SPOKEN, KIND HEARTED MAN THAT WILL BRING US CHANGE. ALTHOUGH BEING BI RACIAL IT IS AWESOME TO SEE THAT AMERICA HAS OPEN THEIR ARMS UP AND EMBRACE A CANDIDATE LIKE OBAMA. IM THRILLED THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED AND IM SO HAPPY TO SEE AMERICA GO INTO A DIFFERENT DIRECTION.
OBAMA SYMBOLIZE THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE FROM BUSH AND THATS WHAT WE NEED. WE IS THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT WILL REACH OUT AND RECREATE THE RELATIONSHIPS THAT WERE DAMAGED DURING THE LAST 8 YEARS.
IM AN INDEPENDENT AND AT FIRST I WAS GOING TO VOTE FOR MC CAIN BEAUSE HE IS VERY EXPERIENCED MAN AND I LIKE HIM. BUT AS THE CAMPAIGN WENT ON IT BECAME CLEAR TO ME THAT WHY GO FOR THE SAME OLD THING IT DID US NO GOOD BEFORE SO WHY NOT TRY SOMETHING NEW. CHANGE IS GOOD. AND I WISH HIM ALL THE BEST.
I TO AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE WAY PROP.8 PANNED OUT BUT HOPEFULLY LIKE YOU SAID IT WILL ALL BE RESOLVED AND WE ALL BE TREATED EQUAL.
GOD BLESS
ALYCE

I saw images from China and Indonesia and Africa of people crying and jumping for joy when Obama was announced the winner. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's dream has FINALLY come true. Amazing, wonderful, and beyond belief. What a wonderful time this is for the entire world. Congrats to Obama and THANK YOU to everyone who voted for him.

latina princess, I liked how you kept it classy (about your comment at 6:11pm) I am an Obama supported, but I liked what you said. I wish more republicans were like you! However I have to say that as a Latina I was disappointed when Daddy Yankee decided to support McCain. I guess when I think of republicans I think of rich ppl, and I feel that him as a Latino, he let me down on that. He is from the streets and I thought he would support a democrat (because they usually care more about the poor and middle class people). Anyhow I guess I wonder if you are wealthy? or is it just a stereotype that Republicans are wealthy????
Anyhow Kim I'm glad you posted something about the Election. I was getting disappointed earlier.

What an exciting night last night was. It was absolutely worth the late night, the tears and heart ache of waiting in line for 5 hours. I was so EXCITED to be apart of thos defining moment in history. America was desperate for CHANGE and finally CHANGE has come. No one should feel that they can not achieve what they want to. With this change in American History, we can be whatever we want to be and don't think less of ourselves. This has opened up doors for younger people to get involved in politics, for your people to stay in school or go back to school. I am HAPPY that I was able to experience this, something I will cherish the rest of my life.
As for prop 8
I have to be honest and say that marriage is defined in the bible between a man and a woman. I don't agree with gay marriage however I am never discriminatory against the lifestyle. I have a brother who is openly gay however I can't disown him for his choosing of a lifestyle.

lol bruce is a republican, why did you put up a pic with him in it? He doesn't support Obama. And what are you trying to prove to us by saying "i was a supporter from the beginning"? Yeah so and? So were the rest of us. You started supporting obama as soon as the rest of hollywierd did. Stop acting like you discovered Obama or something lol. Plus you're not the type of woman he wants his daughters to look up to. He is not your homeboy, he is your PRESIDENT. I hate that t-shirt, it lacks respect. But im happy for anyone who went out and voted for Obama. Thank you all !! He is a wonderful man.

Hey Kim! Well first I must say it's so great of you to be getting involved and voting and including your fans in it as well. Hopefully you inspired a lot of young people to get out there and vote and make a difference! I was pleased with the election results too (I'm sooo ready for a better future with Obama!!), but just like you, I was hoping Prop 8 wouldn't pass because I believe everyone is entitled to equal rights. It's very sad to see how narrow minded people can be. I have homosexual friends myself and I see how hurtful this whole ordeal is for them. It really is a shame and I can only hope that somehow people will begin to be more accepting of others' differences. Peace and love! Love ya Kim!

OBAMA all the way! I'm super excited that we have a new FRESH leader running our country! About prop B- I can't help but have conservative views about what marriage should be. I have many gay friends that I absolutely LOVE...but I don't think we are ready for it yet. I think that slowly but surely people will start opening up about the possibility of this... Its just that a religious gay marriage is a little too weird for me.

back in the day? Kim "back in the day" is an expression you use when you're saying "oh remember a few years ago...". LOL sorry but the MAJORITY of people were for Obama from the beginning. You're not the only one :) And you started endorsing him the same time most of hollywood did. But i do think your t-shirt is tacky. He deserves more respect that being called your "homeboy". Obama didn't even want lindsay lohan officially endorsing him so i'm not sure Obama would consider you his "homegirl" lol sorry just being real. And what "changes" do you want? You are not a minority, you don't truly know how it feels to not get a job because of your race. But maybe you're doing this for your future children who will be minorities. But thanks for everyone who voted for Obama :)

I'm quite interested to see how he is as a leader. I'm more than ready to Barack Obama in action before I make any judgments. I have really high hopes for him! :D As for Proposition 8, it is sad that we cannot let everyone be equal. Our country has been fighting for equality for years and years now. People need to let love flourish, regardless of gender and orientation. The attitudes of some of the people in this country saddens and disgusts me.
