Learning from love mistakes
Hi Kimmy,
Congrats on all of your achievements. I think that you’re a great person with a big heart. I’ve recently come across an interview you did back in 2007 and you mentioned that you married young and learned from your mistakes. I got married when I was 19 and I’m 23 now. I’ve been married for nearly four years. Though I’ve chosen to marry against my parents’ will, I don’t remember the last time I’ve been happy with him. I’ve learned we have so many differences and I am struggling to get out of this marriage. I don’t know what to do. My parents have disowned me, I’ve got no love and support from my family, so I would really appreciate your input on this. You’re my idol, and I wish I can one day have the courage and strength you had to move on with your life and put your mistakes behind you. Love you heaps… AND PLZ REPLY TO THIS. I’LL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL!

Great advice! 19 is very young. My mum was married with one child at that age, i’m 21 and cannot see myself getting married for a few years now. Be strong for yourself ‘Anonymous’. Kim is totally right, life is too short to be unhappy. Be true to yourself and to your partner. Neither of you should be with eachother if you know its not right. Good Luck :)

wow Kim that is great advise…life is too short to be unhappy…thank you for that advise….i have been unhappy with myself as well.I stopped going to school and gained a good 50 pounds I was just telling my co-worker I was unhappy and its true im too young to be unhappy…I have the best husband in the world. who supports me in everything I do. I re enrolled to school last week all I need to do is to start working out!! thanks kim!

Hey Kim and all readers! I think that Kim gave some really good advice here! You should always try to reach out to your family for help, even if they are mad at you they are still your family. I was also married when I was 20 to my boyfriend of three years and we are still together 2 years later and very happy…. I think for some people that age is very young but for me it is working out very well. I think it depends on the lifestyle you want. I didnt care much about partying during college or getting drunk, I cared more about doing well, chillin with my friends in the dorms, and spending time with my wonderful boyfriend. When we got engaged I knew it was right for me and feel our relationship getting stronger everyday. But when you cant remember the last time you were happy, its definately time to get out!
