Hi Kimmy,

Congrats on all of your achievements. I think that you’re a great person with a big heart. I’ve recently come across an interview you did back in 2007 and you mentioned that you married young and learned from your mistakes. I got married when I was 19 and I’m 23 now. I’ve been married for nearly four years. Though I’ve chosen to marry against my parents’ will, I don’t remember the last time I’ve been happy with him. I’ve learned we have so many differences and I am struggling to get out of this marriage. I don’t know what to do. My parents have disowned me, I’ve got no love and support from my family, so I would really appreciate your input on this. You’re my idol, and I wish I can one day have the courage and strength you had to move on with your life and put your mistakes behind you. Love you heaps… AND PLZ REPLY TO THIS. I’LL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL!

    This is good advice! I was married at 20 and a mother at 21. A few years later I realized that it was not a healthy situation for me or my son but I was also dealing with my beliefs and morals. I had a hard time dealing with a divorce. My mother is old fashioned too so divorce was also unheard of. In the end enough was enough and I chose to be happy and have a healthy life and environment to both me and my son

    You really give great advice. I met my husband at age 19, but we did not get married until a few years later. You really need that time to get to know yourself and to grow in the relationship.
    I love your site and I am a huge fan. I love getting regular updates on what is going on with you.

    hmmm… you have made mistake after mistake since you were 19… I am wondering when it will stop. Now you just sound like a desperate little girl hoping and praying that Reggie will marry you.

    I know everybody is different, but I DEFINITELY wasn’t ready to be married at 19! lol. Good advice though Kim :)
    I can’t think of anything I could do that would be bad enough for my family to disown me, thank GOD. They’ve put up with a lot, but I think it has made our relationship stronger. Being married (in my opinion) is not something to mess around with, and I do believe you should try EVERYTHING in your power to make a marriage work. If all else fails, fine. But at least you can walk out knowing that you tried your hardest.
    xoxo

    I TOTALLY AGREE WITH KIM. SOMETIMES WE DONT MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICES AND THATS SOMETHING THAT WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH. I THINK NO MATTER HOW MAD YOUR PARENTS ARE THEY WILL ALWAYS BE THERE. PARENTS SOMETIMES GET UPSET BECAUSE THEY CANT MAKE US CHANGE OUR MIND ON WHAT THEY ALREADY KNOW IS WRONG…I THINK THAT IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY ITS BEST TO END IT AND ONCE YOUR PARENTS SEE THAT YOU REALIZED IT WAS WRONG THEY WILL BE THERE FOR YOU! =D

    GOOD LUCK DOLL!

    ~~~KIM~~~
    THIS ADVICE U GAVE THIS YOUNG LADY WAS VERY HELPFUL HOPEFULLY SHE TAKES THIS INTO CONSIDERATION AND GETS OUT THIS NASTY SITUATION OK…. I DON’T KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO BE MARRIED BUT I ONCE LIVED WITH MY BOYFRIEND FOR 6 MONTHS, YEA WE LOVED EACH OTHER AND LOVE EACH OTHER STILL (AGAIN) BUT IN THE MIX OF EVERYTHING WHEN UR NOT READY UR JUST NOT READY BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH WE GOT ALONG AT TIMES WE STILL HAD OUR HUGE FIGHTS AND ARGUMENTS. THE BEST THING FOR ME TO DO WAS COME BACK HOME AND IT WAS A TIME WHEN MY MOM DIDNT WANT ME TO COME BACK BUT AT THE END OF IT ALL THE ONLY PERSON THAT WAS THERE TO HELP ME WAS MY MOM, SO SHE MIGHT DISOWN U FOR A WHILE BUT SHE WILL NEVER DISOWN U FOREVER, SHES PROBABLY JUST MAD THAT HER LIL GIRL GOT MARRIED AND IT WASN’T THE WAY SHE PROBABLY THOUGHT IT WOULD HAPPEN….I HOPE SHE SEES THIS AND THINKS ABOUT IT BECAUSE ITS NEVER TO LATE TRUST ME ONE OF MY FRIENDS WAS WITH HER BOYFRIEND FOR 10 YRS. AND THEY BROKE UP THE OTHER DAY AND SHE SAYS SHES NOT GOING BACK AND SHES BEING DEAD SERIOUS I KNOW SHES FOR REAL SO IF SHE CAN ANYONE CAN
