Remember back in the day when I wore my Obama shirt? Yes, it is true: I was a supporter from the start! I have to say, I am beyond thrilled that Barack Obama was elected and I am looking forward to witnessing all of the historic change that his Presidency promises!

The election wasn’t all thrills for me, however. I have been holding my breath today, hoping that California’s Prop 8 (which bans gay marriage) would not pass. But, unfortunately it has. I hear it is being challenged in the courts by civil rights groups and I’m hopeful our legal system will find Prop 8 unjust.

How are you feeling about the election?

I’m quite interested to see how he is as a leader. I’m more than ready to Barack Obama in action before I make any judgments. I have really high hopes for him! :D As for Proposition 8, it is sad that we cannot let everyone be equal. Our country has been fighting for equality for years and years now. People need to let love flourish, regardless of gender and orientation. The attitudes of some of the people in this country saddens and disgusts me.

This was my very first time I was able to vote in an election and I am so glad Obama won! I am very hopeful that he can help this country get better and it is amazing how people all over the world had support for him as well!

    lots of love kim!

back in the day? Kim “back in the day” is an expression you use when you’re saying “oh remember a few years ago…”. LOL sorry but the MAJORITY of people were for Obama from the beginning. You’re not the only one :) And you started endorsing him the same time most of hollywood did. But i do think your t-shirt is tacky. He deserves more respect that being called your “homeboy”. Obama didn’t even want lindsay lohan officially endorsing him so i’m not sure Obama would consider you his “homegirl” lol sorry just being real. And what “changes” do you want? You are not a minority, you don’t truly know how it feels to not get a job because of your race. But maybe you’re doing this for your future children who will be minorities. But thanks for everyone who voted for Obama :)

OBAMA all the way! I’m super excited that we have a new FRESH leader running our country! About prop B- I can’t help but have conservative views about what marriage should be. I have many gay friends that I absolutely LOVE…but I don’t think we are ready for it yet. I think that slowly but surely people will start opening up about the possibility of this… Its just that a religious gay marriage is a little too weird for me.

Hey Kim! Well first I must say it’s so great of you to be getting involved and voting and including your fans in it as well. Hopefully you inspired a lot of young people to get out there and vote and make a difference! I was pleased with the election results too (I’m sooo ready for a better future with Obama!!), but just like you, I was hoping Prop 8 wouldn’t pass because I believe everyone is entitled to equal rights. It’s very sad to see how narrow minded people can be. I have homosexual friends myself and I see how hurtful this whole ordeal is for them. It really is a shame and I can only hope that somehow people will begin to be more accepting of others’ differences. Peace and love! Love ya Kim!

lol bruce is a republican, why did you put up a pic with him in it? He doesn’t support Obama. And what are you trying to prove to us by saying “i was a supporter from the beginning”? Yeah so and? So were the rest of us. You started supporting obama as soon as the rest of hollywierd did. Stop acting like you discovered Obama or something lol. Plus you’re not the type of woman he wants his daughters to look up to. He is not your homeboy, he is your PRESIDENT. I hate that t-shirt, it lacks respect. But im happy for anyone who went out and voted for Obama. Thank you all !! He is a wonderful man.
