Dear Kim,
I have a question. I am the second-oldest of seven and my parents constantly work. So, I’m pretty much the head honcho. I realize lately that with the more rules I lay down, the more they seem to despise me. What should i do? Please help!

First of all I want to say that I love your style and congrats on all your sucess! I have a serious fashion question! I say serious because it is dealing with my hair! :) I am half Puerto Rican and half Dominican and for years I have stuck to the blond family. Like about ten years or so. I’m talikng about like a strawberry blond and things of that nature. Until about two years ago I decided to go platinum blond-which is the blondest of them all! :) Anyways, lately I have been wanting and feeling like I need a change. I was thinking about going darker. Much darker, like a dark brown. But I am really, really scared and nervous because I’m afraid it won’t look good on me. You know the saying if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! Well that’s how I feel about my hair, but I really feel like this color might, just might look good on me and make me look more latina. So, my first question is what color is your hair? Is it black or dark brown? And, do you think I can pull off the darker look?? Please let me know your thoughts! I would really really appreciate it! Thanks! :)

This is a KIM TO THE RESCUE QUESTION…and i really hope you can respond to it. First of all i’d like to say congrats on all ur achievements, i think that ur a great person with a big heart. I’ve recently came across an interview u did back 2007 and u mentioned about marrying young and learning from ur mistakes. Well i got married when i was 19 and am 23 now. I’ve been married for nearly four yrs. Though i’ve chosen to marry against ma parents will, i dont remember the last time i’ve been happy wit him. I’ve learnt we’ve got so much difference and am strugglin to get out of this marriage. I dont know wat to do. My parents have disowned me, i’ve got no love and support from ma family, so i would really appreciate your input on this.
