I had 2 eye surgeries when I was 11 and then 12, Only I had the old fashion surgery where they take your eye out of the socket and then cut the muscles and sew them back together tighter. It was so painful and I had stitches inside of my eye. Then in 2004 I was in a car accident and had to have class removed from my eye, now I have scar's that u can visibly see. Anyways I wish I could have had Lasik. Good Luck Sweetie and I'll keep u in my prayers.

Hi! I had lasik from Dr. Maloney in 1997 at UCLA. I went from being unable to drive, read or do anything without thick glasses or contacts to almost 20/20! Over ten years later, I still see pretty much crystal clear. Dr. Maloney changed my life. The advances they've made since 1997 make the producure less risky and easier to recover from. I had the PRK about 2 years ago. It was by far the best thing I have done! I'd worn contacts for about many years. It is a little scary. I mean they will be shooting laser beams at your eye but it is a short process and well worth it. Are you doing the PRK or Lasik? There is a difference with benefits to both. Heads up!!! Day three will suck! Keep a bag of frozen peas (they conform to your eye better) for comfort and have a place that ensures darkness. The doc will monitor your eye movement his/herself but the machine will also monitor your movement. They will numb your eyes prior and provide you a valium if needed. I needed it! Best of luck!

Hey. I had lasik corrective surgery in January. As long as you keep your eyes on the red dot (you will know what that is when you get ready for the procedure), everything will be fine. The only negative side is the fact that your eyes may be swollen, red, and itchy for a couple of days. They may even be sensitive to the outside air (wear shades). Also, you may have to keep putting drops in your eyes for many months after the procedure. I know my eyes are still dry, BUT with 40/20 vision...I don't care :o)

I did it about a year ago and I must say it was awesome having a good eyesight. Wearing glasses/contact lenses are very annoying.

It was not painful but obviously I couldn't avoid from being panic. I became too stiff and the doctor asked me to cool down. I dare say if I have 3 eyes instead of 2, most probably I'll faint during the 3rd eye's process :p

I'm not sure whether you've done it or not but I'm pretty such you won't regret it.

I had it done almost 2 years ago and I have about four other friends that have had it done. I would do it all over again if I need to. It took only 20 seconds for the entire proceedure, the longest was the prep time. Which was nothing but eyedrops. You will not regreat it.

Overnight I deveopled some eye condition which madem y right eye really weak, so weak that Lasik wouldnt do a thign for me, So i'm having toric icl where they make a lens , place an incision in the cornea and inject it! I'm really nervous!

Yes, I had Lasik eye surgery. It is so quick and easy. I agree with the others. Best thing I have ever done. I remember driving down the street being amazed at being able to see the street signs clearer and getting on the freeway and seeing a distance. Here is a tip. You need to be careful with heavy moisturizers and hand creams - they can make you vision cloudy. I had a friend tell me this one. A great tip.

Hi Kim. Dr. Maloney also did my Lasik back in March of this year. It was the best decision i ever made! He is a wonderful Doctor and it is over before you know it. I was really scared but it really was nothing. Good luck and don't forget to do the eyedrops he tells you about or your eyes will be real dry.

Hey Kim, I had LASIK done and it went wonderfully. Initially, I was very apprehensive but, I would do it all over again in a heart beat now...it's that easy & quick. Just make sure you keep lubricating drops in your eyes for 1-2 months after to prevent dry eye & quick healing.

I had lasik done in March and it was the best decision I have ever made. My eyes were very red though for a few weeks afterwards (this doesn't happen to everyone) which made me look like I was possesed but I didnt care. My eyes didnt hurt and even with the red I was still able to see. Now, almost 6 months later I couldnt be happier. I can see everything. My eyesight is 20/15! You wont regret your decision!

I had lasik surgery in 2004. It was the BEST financial decision of my life. I have had 20/15 vision since my surgery. It makes a huge difference when you're at basketball/football games. The lighting used to blur my contacts. The surgery itself is a little weird at first, but by the next day you are completely good! My advice is to be very honest when you're looking at the eye chart. If you can't tell if it's a F or an E, don't squint to try to get it right! It will mess up what they set the laser to and you'll have to go back and get it redone, just like getting the wrong contacts perscription. Best of luck to you! I have no regrets and I tell everyone who is considering having it done to not waste their time being blind and just do it!!!

I had lasik eye surgery 3 years ago- and it is over before you even know it! You will do just fine! I have 20/20 vision now! It is so amazing how they do this surgery and you walk out of the room and can see everything!

My partner had it done over 4 years ago and the biggest problem she had was tearing for a few days afterwards. It made it difficult for her to open her eyes. The doctor told her that due to her wearing contact lenses for over 20 years, she somehow damaged her cornea, although it wasn't due to misuse. She had a fairly severe astigmatism in one eye and once the tearing stopped her vision was perfect and there were no more side effects. I have other friends that have had this procedure done but have had no side effects at all, and hopefully your experience will be the same. I've worn glasses since I was 7yrs old and just don't have the guts to do it. Good for you!

Hey Kimmy...don't be scurred...trust me u won't feel a thing...i had it done a few years a go and its the best thing ever...just waking up in the morning and being able to see...and seeing your friends from across the room before u actually bump it to them and play it off like u knew it was them...ya I know :)......your eyes will be a little watery and blurry until your vision adjusts but then it's smooth sailing...oh and the lights at night from opposite traffic sucks so I wore my sunglasses on the 101 at 10 pm...good luck...you’re so cute...luv the makeup video...got that look down to a T...

I have done it and trust me when I say its the quickest and least painful thing. It literally takes seconds (mine was 7 seconds per eye), the preparation is what takes long. You'll be fine, it was the best thing I could have ever done. You don't realize how annoying the contacts were until you have this surgery. I recommend it to everyone that doesn't see correctly! I would do it 10 more times if I had too! Good Luck!

I had Lasik approximately seven years ago. Let me tell you girl, it was probably one of the best investments I've ever made. I literally had 20/500 vision, yes nearly legally blind. After this procedure, my vision was 20/20. Over the years, my vision has declined slightly but I still see just fine and have no need for glasses or contacts. The procedure lasts less than 10 minutes and the only freaky part is when you can actually smell the laser burning and shaping the cornea. The procedure is super quick but sooooo worth it. I just had mine done about 2 weeks ago. It was ridiculously easy. The whole thing took about 5 minutes. I wasnt sure if it was for me, i cant stand people coming near my eyes, but it was the easiest thing i've done. If you've had your wisdom teeth removed or a tattoo or piercing, the eye surgery will be a cake walk. Whatever you do DONT watch the surgery on youtube or anything. I will freak you out. My family watched while I got mine done (they had a viewing room with a television monitor) and they were all freaked out it looks a million times worse than it feels

Kim, I saw this headline that you are having LASIK through a news alert I get. I know the industry VERY WELL and although Dr. Maloney is a good surgeon I would strongly suggest you go see Dr. Manger in Laguna Hills (he's at Saddleback Eye Center). He is the TOP surgeon on the West Coast and has done more procedures than anyone else in the country next to a surgeon in Dallas.

Trust me, he is one of the best and you certainly want the best for your LASIK procedure. Just a suggestion.

Lasik is great. Try not to be scared. No one who has had it done ever regretted it. Heaps of people end up with perfect 20/20 vision afterwards. I would do it except I can't really afford it. It costs around $5000 here in New Zealand - not sure what sort of money it costs to get done in the States.

Also, love you soooo much, but please don't wear those hoops again! White gold or silver is way better on you than those yellow brassy gold ones.

Hey Kim... I just had lasik done in January and it wasn't bad at all. I am 22 and I was pretty nervous, but they talked me through everything while they were doing it. It only took about 15 minutes total and then I walked out of the room, put on these not so fabulous 400UV sunglasses and walked out the door. Just try your best to stay away from light right after surgery because your eyes are soooo dilated that it hurts to look at any form of light. By the next day I was nearly 20/20. Now, 7 months later... I have better than 20/20 vision. It is by far the best thing I have ever done. Wait until you wake up in the middle of the night and you can see the alarm clock clear... it is one of the craziest feelings in the world.

Lasik surgery is a piece of cake! I had it done a couple of years ago and it was the best thing ever!! They gave me a valium before the surgery which really made me relax. They sit you in a chair, you hear some noises, it gets blurry then BAM, it's done. The first thing they did was sit me up and say read the clock, and I could. Afterwards they give me a nice little care package and the first night I had to sleep with patches on both eyes, just so I wouldn't scratch them. They also gave me pain pills, which came in handy the next day. It wasn't your typical pain, it felt more like sand in the eye, but by the second day, I was good to do. I can see clearly now, and it still surprises me when I wake up in the middle of the night and can see what time it is! You'll be fine, your a soldier! GOOD LUCK!

You'll be fine...I had it done 3 years ago and it was the best surgery I ever went through. ( I do have a little issue with night driving, but who cares...still NOT wearing glasses...at 35 years old!). My sister also had it done a year ago and another success story!

Hi Kim, I hope the procedure goes well for you. I had two eye operations when I was under 5 to correct my vision (back before there was lazer) and currently wear glasses with my eyesight getting worse and worse, but I'm too scared to get lazer. I'm eager to hear how your results are. I guess a few years ago someone told me some bad stories and side effects of the procedures that scared me into trying it, but from the feedback above most have only but positive things to say about it. Well kim, I work with an ophthalmologist who performs lasik eye surgery's and when patients come in post surgery they actually say it was not bad at all, no pain or discomforts. Im actually in the works of getting lasik soon! So you'll be fine! good luck!

I got this procedure done! Best thing I ever did! It was a little painful a few hours after the surgery but that's it! You have to sleep with funny things on for a few nights! My eye sight keeps getting better. It improves over time! It's amazing to be be able to wake up in the morning and see your alarm clock! LOL!

I had Lasik Surgery but had it done in Canada because it was more affordable for me plus that is where these types of procedures started. I did a lot of research before I went. It was very nerve wrecking but I'm so happy I got it done. I had very bad eye sight as well and now I don't have to worry about putting in contacts everyday. I do have to admit though that when they did the procedure, they burnt off a layer of your cornea so it smells like burnt hair for a few minutes. That kind of freaked me out but the whole procedure lasted about 10 minutes. It is so worth it though. Good luck with everything! You won't regret it!

hey kim, surgery is really scary thing to do, cuz u dont know the outcome, but i know everything will go smootly, so dont worry. its EYE surgery and its been done many times, ure not going under any anesthesia etc for complications/risks. i too suffer from a bad eye sight..i have contacts and reading glasses but i never wear it, contacts make me drowsy for some reason..ne way, good luck with your surgery. im alwasy worried about going for surgery, but a cosmetic one. AHH anesthesia freaks me out!

No i have not done it, i actually don't need it thank God! However my sister has been looking into doing it because she has difficulty with her eye sight as well.
I pray that it all goes well.

Oh, and one last thing. I know you love your make-up. But, it is very important to not where make up ( for up to 2 weeks) after the surgery. You don't want to risk infection or moving the corneal 'flap'.

I had lasik about 2 years ago. I did great with it, my vision is now 20/20. You have to put some yucky drops in for a couple weeks, and your eyes are super dry, but that is the worst part. It is the best thing I ever did. You'll be fine.

I wear contacts and glasses (at differen times of course! haha) and I always think about getting Lasik done but I am so freaked out.

PLEASE give us updates and let us know if it hurts at all, or how it feels when they are actually doing it (i know they like hold your eyelids open and put some plastic thing over them it looks so freaky!!). I would just love to hear first hand how you deal with it Kim :)

I say you many times on TMZ and on your reality show driving around without glasses on. Not safe for you or for others on the road. I had Lasik surgery back in November of '07 and OMG it's so amazing! I currently have 21/20 vision. Don't be scared but, definitely take a Valium beforehand (SERIOUSLY! lol). The scariest part is when everything goes dark and you feel like you're blind but then it kinda looks like you're looking through Vasoline! Good luck! I recommend Lasik to everyone it's AMAZING!

Hey Kim! I had the PRK procedure because my cornea was too thin for the normal procedure. It is a much more evasive surgery where they scrape the top layer off your eye, so needless to say, my recovery was a little rough. BUT, I have heard that in most cases this method is not necessary and recovery is quick. Even with my rough recovery, I am still SO glad I have it. I have superwoman vision and could read the bottom line on the eye chart! Best of luck!

No, I haven't had lasik. I wore contacts for many years. I mainly use glasses now. I never liked wearing glasses. I don't like the way they feel or look. However, recently I found a pair of designer frames that are really fashionable. I get a lot of compliments on them now:) I think I started a new trend at work...Many people at work have copied me and gotten similar looking ones:)

Good luck with the lasik. I'm sure it will be fine.

Hey Kim,

My husband got the surgery done as well a little while back. Don't worry you will be fine. It's easy and quick. They will give you meds to relax, and you will pretty much need to stay out of the light for the first couple of days because it will bother you. You should clear up the schedule so you can sleep that entire day too.

Hey Kim! My dad had lasik eye surgery done a couple of years ago, and he is so glad he got it done! He used to have really really bad vision and now he has very good vision! He is so happy he got it done! Good luck!!

That's a major procedure. I saw on TV where this lady had it done & somehow some abnormal cells grew over her eye & she became blind in that eye. I personally would never do it just b/c its your EYES....not your boobs, etc. If something goes wrong, you're screwed. I'd rather stick to contacts. They make some that are really comfortable that you cant even feel.

I had to have suregery too. It's not that bad. You will be fine!

Don't be scared honey. My mom had the lasik eye surgery also recently. She said that it doesn't hurt at all, all you feel is obviously some movement on your eyes. But they do the procedure pretty fast. If Jessica Simpson did it, so can you girly. Hope it all goes well!

Hey kim, I also have been struggling with my eye sight for years, I used to be scared of wearing glasses in class because the kids used to make fun of me. My teacher used to make me put on my glasses because I couldn't see the chalkboard. I never wore contacts because I only need it for reading and to see the chalk board. Hey Kim.

I actually just had Lasik done last week. I was really nervous at first, but it literally takes less than 10 minutes. Once you get there, they will give you some medicine to calm your nerves. After your calm, they take you in for the procedure. The procedure isn't what you should be worried about... thats the easy part! The hard part is the post-op work. Like remembering not to rub your eyes and stuff like that. Good Luck!

I started wearing glasses in the 2nd grade! Every time I got new glasses I would toss them in the trash, so now that I am older I really need them! I'm getting married in April next year and do not know what to do, should I deal with it & wear my glasses throughout the reception so that I see who is coming to greet me or should I try & get the surgery? I had it done Kim and I went from legally blind to 20/10! Its the best investment Ive made in a while. I love you Kim!
