I love the way you do the smoky eye, because i usually wear like just a really dark charcoal Chanel colour and really soft lilac as like a base, and now I'm so going to try it out your way, it's stunning! And to you Kim, you look gorgeous with and without all the makeup. I also love to do much makeup like in this video and I know many people think it's too much etc but I like it so I keep on doing it. So if you like to wear much makeup keep doing it. The smokey eye looks great on you!

Love love loooove the makeup blogs. I have Stephen's myspace and I'm always checking it for new stuff. You def. got one awesome makeup artist on your hands. Oh and by the way, dont listen to the negative people. They obvioulsy dont realize that this look is a "night" look. You can see that you do not wear your makeup like this very often. Hi I love the eye makeup tutorials you have put together Kim - they are sooo helpful.
I have one question for Kim or anyone that can answer. What brand of eyeliner was applied to the bottom of the inner eyelid? I kept on replaying it and i wasnt sure what was said. Im from Australia so im not sure if its a brand i havent hear of or i just couldnt hear it - it was something like Steel Blak??? The reason why i ask is that it came out really dark and whenever i have tried it in the past the black looks more grey and comes off within minutes of applying it. I need a brand that goes on and stays on black rathey than a watery grey colour.

Anytime i use Make-Up , Concealer or Powders my skin looks dry, especially around my eyes. Not pretty at all.

Stephen used MAC pigment in Naked on top of the MAC paint bare canvas.

It's too much makeup... makes you look like a drag-queen; no offense. Less is more, it takes away from the natural beauty.

What's with all the complaining! First you all wanted/begged for the video lesson to be posted, now that you have it.... still complaints follow. Nothing is never good enough for a lot of you. Perhaps she didn't post the video lesson in it's entirety to make it easier to pick up in small portions, or perhaps for those of us that work, the 4 minute intervals are more efficient to watch, instead of 15 - 20 minute sessions all at once.

A lot of you need to learn to be more appreciative. At some point, Kim may stop trying to meet so many requests when a lot of the comments that are left, are unappreciative.

A lot of celebrities, don't give step by step lessons or even the actual products that the use.

Come ladies, learn to be more grateful, understanding and appreciative.

Hi Soe,

He uses MAC espresso eye shadow on her eyebrows. I used that for years on my brows. It's a great dark brown, matte color. Go buy it if you can :)

I absolutely love these video tutorials! I have been using the foundation/blush techniques for everyday wear. Can I tell you it comes out really great and incredibly natural! I'm waiting to do the smoky eye for a night out :) So here's my question... You say you use up to 3 different mascaras on your lashes. That seems like such a hassle to remove! What do you use, or suggest, to remove all that mascara?

Loved your smokey eye part that you posted! But 2 be honest i hated the dark colour on your lid, it made you look like you had been punched in the face! sori,:( i love your make up normally but just not that type of heavy make up. The smokey eye look would have looked a lot better without the eye shadow!

Kim, thanks for the video. I love the smokey eye look...it's usually what I do to my eyes when I'm going out (although yours looks way better!!) I agree with some of the comments above about doing a blog of the names of the colors and brushes that you use, that would be great.

Also, the comment from Wondering at 11:29 brings up a good point. Some of your fans are on a low budget, are there any products that you would recomment to those of us who are underpaid and shopping on a budget?

i personally like your natural look better just because the smokey eye is just such a long process and makes people look like they are trying to hard. it looks fabulous on you but i just prefer the natural look so people really see the real you without the fake eyelashes and all the eyeshadow

Does anyone else here hate the thickness of Kim's eyebrows? Why wont she thin them out? She looks better with slightly thinner eyebrows...everybody does!! (i dont mean she should opt for pencil thin eyebrows <--eww!, but I can't help imagine a line connecting the two brows together.

Thanks for round 3, Kim. This is really great. Stephen is such an amazing artist. I also went to his page and asked him a question - or two ;) - and he replied quickly. It wsort of surprised me. What a sweetheart he is. You two are a really great team. Ooh... and unless I'm mistaken, the angeled brush that Stephen uses is either a 266 or a 208. I used to work for MAC, so I know it's gotta be one of the two. :)

Kim, you said in video #2 that steven used more than just the color contrast, and black liner to make the smokey eye. The only other color he added was the mac pigment 'naked' what other colors did he layer on top of contrast???????
