Do you have personal experience with racism? I sometimes get insulted because of my oriental looks but I don´t see why I should dye my hair or wear bright contacts. I´m biracial and I don´t feel "at home" anywhere and I have the feeling people always see me as a foreigner and have a prejudice against me. How do you deal with situations like this?

I think she just need to go out, that ways being out she could find a good man. I hope she finds the right guy for her. You seem to know of a lot of charities.Do you know of one that could help a disabled Vet?A 'contractor' destroyed her home and stole everything.Her home's fixed now &,with renters,she can pay the mortgage again,but she needs to get it up to date before they will accept regular payments again.Most org's say her mortgage is too high to help($400,000)??I don't get that.A grant to pay it off would be ideal,but we mostly need to get it up to date,& noone will help.Noone has a heart.Any info would be dearly appreciated!Najista :)

In response to this girl's question... you have a seven year old daughter, why not be a positive role model for her and invest more time into your relationship with her? Show your child that you don't NEED to have a boyfriend/husband in your life in order to achieve happiness in your life. Being a single parent is hard, and there are a lot of strange people in this world, that prey on weak and desperate women "looking for love". Your child should be #1 priority, as well as her safety. Take time to travel, go shopping, and having "girls day". Women need to stop being so desperate and hoping for "Mr.Right" and focus more of their energy and time into raising their children. Just sayin'

Here's my take on the 27 y/o single parent.

When she says all of the guys say she's wife material,thats the problem.
She can't come off as being wife material it has to sorta look like it was the last thing you were looking for.
Been there, married 25 years.

I date guys that are younger then me, im 28 years old and im still having hard time find that perfect guy, some of my friends are getting married and some them have been with their bf for 2 to 3 years. They alway asking me when Im going get a bf.They keep saying im getting older and it about time. I have this issue with make up, hair and working (making money). I'm the only girl child in a single parent family and I wish I had sisters like yours to help me with my decision making. I'm 18 years old and LOVE LOVE LOVE to be fashion forward like you and your I love clothes, make up (MAC) and accessories, but work like a dog just to get by and always try hard to get nice things with the amount of money I'm limited to. I always want to buy and try new things but find myself always short of money because of school payments, books, car payments and insurance. I see how great you are with making your own money to buy all of the things you desire and was wondering if you had any tips because at the moment I'm stuck as a nanny while living at home as a freshmen in college. I get good grades for discounts on car insurance and scholarships for school, but I just can't do it all and be fashion forward it seems. You're my ideal women and I look up to you and work so long and hard, but I come across issues, like my hair is dry with split ends and looks dull and needs a cut, or I have bags under my eyes and can't correct it that well with make up and people call me Indian (I'm puerto rican about your skin tone), I wish that I could spend a day getting tips from you about all this stuff like a total Lisa makeover day by you hahah but just a little advice from you would probably help me out a lot!
