Hey Everyone!

I simply adore Russell Simmons and feel passionate about helping him out with his Art For Life East Hampton benefit that will take place on July 19th!

Unfortunately, I cannot attend the event, but I have decided to donate my time and give the highest bidder a personal styling experience and a shopping spree at Dash!!!

Trust me, this is all for an awesome cause: Russell’s Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, which he operates with his brothers Danny and Rev. Run (you remember him from a little group called Run DMC!), offers disadvantaged kids arts education and also provides a bunch of grants to NYC-based arts programs. They support theater, dancing, spoken word, marching bands, you name it! They also run two art galleries that show works of emerging and underrepresented artists.

The guys have the Art For Life event each summer at Russell’s house in the Hamptons, and each spring in Florida.

I hear they still have tickets left (hint hint!). This year they’re honoring some great people including Christy Turlington and director Brett Ratner. I will definitely try to make it to Russell’s event next year, for sure!!! If you want to bid on my items or find out more about the charity (including how to get tickets to this hot summer event!!), check it out HERE!

Xoxo,

Kim

  2. hmm it seems Kim has come up with another ploy to prove absolutely NOTHING. It’s good that you are using your money to donate to charity! Oh, wait..you aren’t. You think you are SO special that the people who donate to these charities actually want style advice from a sex star? It is just so shallow of you to think that VANITY and SUPERFICIAL things are the answer to saving the world.
I know some people may say “at least she is doing SOMETHING” but why advertise it? Why not take a lesson in humility and do something good without announcing it to the world. Because you use these opportunities to put yourself even more in the spotlight. It takes the shine away from people who have NOTHING and still give more than they ever could imagine. AND YOU..who has everything..donates a style experience. Please..if this is ur way of helping out just stay out of the spot light and keep it to urself so that the people who REALLY care and really go out of their way and sacrifice for charity can be praised

If you really want to help out Russell’s charity why not donate your own money instead of your time? Time which you are expecting other people to buy if I understood this correctly. And what happened with the whole ebay auction from which the proceeds or “a percentage” were supposed to go to the dream foundation. Did that ever happen? And if in fact you are really being charitable why not give all the proceeds of the auctions to the dream foundation? I really hope you’re not using charity+ebay as a tool to make more money. I’m sure you don’t need the money more than a charity would. Unless you realized the Vivid and Playboy money after taxes wasn’t really worth it after all and you’re still hard up for cash.

Hair cannot “get used” to anything. Hair is not alive it is comprised of dead cells. DEAD! If it is not responding to a hair product it is not because your hair is “used to it”, it is because you probably need to clarify to remove product buildup. You can do this with a clarifying shampoo or with a tbs of baking soda in any shampoo. And what would you know about great hair anyway Kim? Scott put the KKK Klan on blast about the extensions in like season one so we know you’re unbe”weave”able. This is why you should only be allowed to speak on stuff you know about like screwing. Idiot! Stop embarrassing yourself by giving advice on stuff you have no idea about. If you had great hair you wouldn’t have a weave. If you were a makeup expert you wouldn’t pay someone to do it for you. If you were a relationship expert you wouldn’t be 27 with a failed marriage, a failed longterm relationship that resulted in a sextape and now you’re dating a 23 year old who I guess is more on your level mentally. You know the level of a 12 year old.
Stick to giving tips on what you know. I’m sure all us ladies could use some blowjob tips. Hook us up with those. On that subject you’re an expert.

Doing charity work is commendable but you still need to learn that charity from the heart is a personal journey. It does not need to be justified or proved. Donating to a charity because you want to prove you are a good person proves nothing. It only proves you may be willing to exploit the less fortunate in an attempt to elevate peoples opinions of yourself. Giving back for the sake of saying “look what I did” a charitable person does not make. You also do not have to wait for someone to purchase a Herve Leger dress or a lunch date or whatever you are selling to give. You simply write a check and hand it over. Plain and simple.
Tim Russert who recently passed is a great example of a truly selfless and beautiful human being. He gave and helped people because he truly cared. He gave without recognition to many charities and organizations. He often asked that his large donations not be mentioned publicly. He gave from the heart not to prove he was a good and giving person. Most people who met him knew that without asking or photographic proof posted on a blog.
It’s great that you are trying but you still have ALOT to learn when it comes to charitable endeavors. Knowing that you helped someone should be enough of a reward. You should not need other peoples praise or approval. Giving is great just be sure you are giving for the right reasons. Give to brighten someones future not to make people forget about your past. It takes a million positive things to erase one negative.
