I was taught to do eye shadow base first then eye shadow and then the rest came last. good to know you can do it last. i do have a couple of ques. i have smaller lids with a like line or crease that is naturally there. can i do anything to avoid the eye make up looking creased? also, i have developed a line in my forehead the goes straight across (not the whole forehead but close,lol) anyways what can i get to blend that out or is it a brunette curse?lol.

i use mac zoom & its awesome! i have a bunch of the makeup she wears and i bought the lipliner, gloss, & lipstick in a similar color along with some eyeshadows & i have been getting so many compliments on my makeup! i would defanitly recommend getting the products she uses! they work great!

no michelle young girls are not being "tricked" she answered a lot of peoples questions about the makeup she wears thats all. she didnt say go out buy all of this and wear it all too. she put up what she uses and when she doesnt use 100 different things at once. a lot of people wear foundation and bronzer and different eyeshadows relax. thats her style, her chouice. everyone has a choice on what to wear when they wear it nothing is forced

Love the makeup tips! I went to get some including the mac zoom mascara and the moisture cover. Which cream blush brands do you recommend? Which brand and colors? Also, when you do the video, could you specify what the blush "Cheek" is? You said it is a pink color but I had trouble finding it at Mac. It may be another brand. Love ya girl! You're gorgeous! First off, I think that u one one of the natural beauties in Hollywood (makeup is not a must for u). For me I am more a Jane Iredale bronzer/lip gloss/mascara neutral toned girl but u look flawless with and without makeup!

i luv the way u wear ur makeup and figure i'd come on here & see if u had any tips, & just my luck u did. i bought the colors u suggested for the brown smokey eyes as well as both lip colors u mentioned. the lip colors work for me & i luv them, esp since i wouldve never thought of buying those colors for myself. i dont wear alot of makeup & its probably bcuz i dont know how to put it on, but i did buy the brown colors u mentioned & hopefully i can get someone to show me how to put them on or i can figure out a way to wear them and not look like im doing too much:)

One thing i forgot...Kim, as alot of requests have been made, here we go again.. :) How, Just how do you get your hair so shiny? It's really beautiful! I myself have Chocolate brown hair, I've used pretty much everything I can think of...but it just doesn't keep the shine in. I found that going darker in hair color helped...but I don't like when it's almost black color. Please when you can, let us know your hair beauty secrets.

Hi Kim. Your show and family are interesting to watch, but I have one request and this is sincere: please will you NOT wear fur?!? It's not glamorous. It is DEAD. If you knew what these animals went through for the "fashion" for people to wear, you would not want to be party to it in any shape or manner. Many are kept in small cages and go "cage crazy", have their necks broken and are thrown into a pile to be skinned, many are ANALLY electrocuted. Thanks Kim for your inside scoop on your makeup. You always look so put together. My mom always taught me to "make sure you look good every time you go out, you never know who you will run into". I kind of got away from that cause if anyone is going to see me out in public isn't it best that they see me on an everyday kind of joe schmo day? Do you always try to look your best when you go out during a day of say running errands, or do you play it down? I love your makeup, I highly agree about toning it down, then when you do play it up at night you look that much more hott!! That's what I say! :)

Your eyes are beautiful, and the eye make-up really make them pop, kind-of like Jlo...she has those beautiful brown eye and I don't know if her lashes are fake but they're beautiful... I can't seem to pull that off with my brown eyes..

YES THANK YOU! We finally got the post we wanted ;-) That was a lot of steps, you were right. It never dawned on me to combine different colors of foundation to get a flawless look. I have yet to figure out how to apply cream blush so yes I will definetly be expecting the video of how you apply everything.

thanks for taking the time to post this for us :) I think I'm a shade darker than kourtney (shorty!! lol)...so I will have to go to the store and have them test the product in me which they always make me look orange...so what I've been using for foundation is the "NMSF by mac in medium dark"..and I buff that w/ the 182 ...and then spary my brush w/ fix+ and pat my face evenly ...and my skin is matte...but looks almost dewy w/ out the wet look..and it last all day...good idea for you in the summer since your thinking less makeup ;)

I love mac .. but there are alot of other brands out there that are incrediable .. Mac is actually the cheapest compared to some of the others out there ... I use smashbox,nars,mac,vincent longo, laura mercier, mally rancal and chanel ... There are tons of options out there I like the dramatic look for an evening eventor a photoshoot .. But I think makeup is at it's best when it's natural looking for everyday use ... To me Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce have the best makeup in Hollywood .. Mally Rancal who also now has her own line of cosmetics works with these stunning woman all the time .. I love the sunkissed glowing skin and pale lips to me thats the most beautiful .. The best way to find what works for you is through trial and error .. There are so many diff techniques you can use and so many brands out there to choose from .. Sephoria is a great place to spend the day shopping for makeup I get totally lost in that store .. Also a big thing is and I can't stress this enough MAKEUP BRUSHES are very IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!! do NOT buy cheap brushes .. They cost alot from the cosmetic counters but TRUST me they matter in an even application .. I use the nars bronzer brush it's 60.00 but it's awsome it feels like mink on your skin also smashbox has really wonderful brushes ..

The cle de peau concealor is over 70 bucks and TOO much for any concealor..especially since it does not live up to its price. It has poor staying power & is drying very the delicate eye area..plus the plastic packaging is very cheap looking. The concealors by Clinque or Lancome work much better and costs WAY less. Other than the concealor, everything else you named was a good brand/quality..especially MAC.

Oh my god lol, it doesn't matter how many questions you answer, these people are gonna keep wanting more and more and more. First it was your makeup, you answered and they kept asking that you specified more and asking more about your makeup.
Now you give out all the details about your makeup and they keep asking for even more details and now they even start asking about your hair and about the moisturizer you use! oh my god, not to be mean or rude or anything, but these people are gonna end up asking for you to exactly specify what kind of tampons you use, LMAO.
People please, learn to love yourselves and stop wanting to look like someone else. Kim knows what's best for her because she learnt it herself, not because she was trying to copy someone else. What works for her won't work for you, learn what works for you like she did.

In that episode your hair has these great curls that are tight but loose at the same time. How were you able to make it look like that? Wow, that was a long post! That's cool though to see what makeup you like/use. I,myself, love Bobbi brown makeup but I do agree with you on the cream blush. The cream blush tends to last longer AND it's moisturizing for those with drier skin.

I like your look with the toned down eye makeup. I think you would look just as good with some bronzer, a little blush and some lip gloss. That's all you really need.

I noticed the blush you, your mom, & sisters wearing on your show and was FOREVER trying to figure it out what it was. Now that you mentioned you wear MAC Gingerly, it makes sense! That's the blush! Cause I know years ago you said you wear Pink Swoon, but I guess you moved on to other products..like you said! Keep the tips comin

NARS lipglosses are SO popular! They were named #1 at Sephora for the year 2007. Also same with Lancome..they're famous for their mascaras. You are definately rollin' with the right brands gurl lol ;)

You certainly right about Lancome, they make the best mascaras and NARS lipglosses? Love em. Do you wear makeup everyday?

Here is my way of putting on false eyelashes:

You put on eyeliner on the upper lashline (like you always do)

take the lashes (falsies) and apply eyelash glue on the band of the lash. wait like 30 seconds until the glue becomes tacky (count to 45 to be exact)

then match the glued band on the eyeliner (anywhere but make sure its covering the liner). put it in place. wa la!!

Your make-up artist is so talented! I know he does the make-up for the Girls Next Door also, and they look gorgeous as well.

I'm surprised I've tried most of the make-up you wear already. I always had used Lancome Hypnose daily, ever since I was 13. It does give great volume! I've tried the Stila eyeliner about a year ago but had an alergy reaction to it (which is rare, so I stick to MAC eyeliner).

I noticed you mix 2 blushes to give a "warm & rosy" glow. I would suggest you try Nars blush in Madly. It does the job of both a sun-kissed a rosy glow! I love it and use it all the time.

Kim your fans must really appreciate THIS MUCH information, it's crazy! I never thought you would give this much details away. It just shows you care about your fans, but everyone needs make-up tips. Keep doin' your thing Kim! We love ya!

I totally have to disagree with the heavy eye makeup. I thnk you looked great with it. The smokey eye look is so hot on a night out or for wear during the winter months. I think that was your signature style. Also do you wear false eye leashes by chance? I've tried to put them on many times and its so hard!
I'm an african american female and I want to wear peaches and pinks during the summer month but I feel like my skin tone is too dark...I just may have to go to a makeup counter to see what I can wear. I want to be fresh for the summer!
