I didn’t submit this question but THANK YOU for it anyways. I’m the exact same way, I have never daten within my culture and my family will not accept a “cetain special guy” in my life & it’s been an on-going battle for years..but I still continue to see him because he had never done anything wrong in his life & he’s good to me.

Kim I think it’d be really great if you spoke up more about this subject. It helps a lot of us girls who go through the same situation & at the same time you’re helping change the world’s close-minded views.

You are truly a great woman Kimberly.

Mandy, just look up the clip from when Kim was on the Wendy show a few months back. They took her measurements there on the show…though it’s not a big deal ’cause she’s a beautiful healthy woman & measurements shouldn’t matter!!

Kim, I totally agree with what you said about dating outside your race. At the end of the day its about who u love and who loves you and the people in your life should accept that. As a Black woman,I’ve never dated outside of my race, but I’m definately open to it. Thanks for what you said!!

  5. I totally get what she is asking, I am a latina girl and my boyfriend is Caucasian
at first when I was younger dating out of my race my parents were not thrilled but as time went on they accepted my decisions and respected them , because in the end I was only and now have been looking for the right person. No matter what race, it is about how he treats you that counts.

    sound advice!

at the end of the day the only people who have to deal with the relationship, are the two people involved!

I haven’t dated outside of my race, so I dont know what its like to be scrutinized or even confronted of who I choose to be with.

However, I do agree with listening to your parents and even loved ones (when they are about your best interests) when it comes to matters of that affect. Had I listened to my mother about an ex before I went “head first” I would have been spared many tears and stress.

    Great advice!
